I liked the previous Spiderman's, I don't think it needed a reboot, well not quite yet.

Only getting a reboot as Sam Raimi couldn't deliver Spider-Man 4 creatively by the agreed release date.
He's a great actor. Go watch Boy A.

Boy A looks like a pretty good film actually. I wouldn't mind him as Peter Parker but he looks visibly old and don't know how hes gonna pull off playing a high-school kid.
Great actor, I'm happy with the choice. No need for reboot altogether though.

Yet they end up delaying the next Spider-man film by rebooting the franchise anyway. Raimi could have probably completed Spider-man 4 by the time the reboot is released. Such a shame really, especially seeing as how John Malkovich was cast as The Vulture. He would have been amazing.

Yes. I can't be bothered to restart the story. Spider-man 3 was far from great, but the trilogy was incredibly enjoyable and I was really looking forward to the fourth. Oh well.

Wasn't the fourth meant to be the one where Doc Connors was revealed as The Lizard as well? So much foreshadowing behind that and the lizard was such a great villain. :(
I don't think they really needed to reboot the series, I enjoyed the last trilogy, but hopefully they don't completely ruin it in the new series of films.
