View Full Version : Blimey... my dog
My poor dog! She was outside playing in the garden and my stupid brother had left his BMX against the fence. Anyway, I was sat in the front room and I could just hear this horrible screaming. Then as I got up to investigate I could hear my mum screaming as well. I wondered what the hell was going on, as you can imagine, and I ran outside to investigate. Basically, my dog had got her tail caught in between the chain and the round spikey bit that holds the chain in place on the bike. We think her tail hit it and moved the chain forward, pulling her tail into it. Lulu (my dog) was screaming like you'd never believe and it was a horrible experience. Made me really panicked and weird. Anyway I managed to get her out and her tail was dented and bleeding...
We called the vet and he came around and checked her over. He cleaned it up, gave us this stuff to keep it clean and bandaged her tail up. She's fine now though, just a little bit sad / in shock. She's secretly loving the attention she's getting!!
Anyway just thought I'd share my story with you because it was really horrible at the time because dogs are like your baby and to see her like that was horrible. Anyone had a similar experience?
A pic of my dog for anyone who is interested:

Awwh she does look sad :( I hope her tail gets better!
She's good. Just asleep on the sofa, looking forlorn! It's such a surreal and horrible experience. But I am really relieved she's okay

It's even worse that she looks absolutely adorable!
I can imagine it being horrible hearing her in pain, bless her. I'm glad that she's ok now though. Give her plenty of cuddles Garion!!

Awww nice dog Garion :)
I bet you look the height of manliness walking her :P
Anyway i love animals and hate to see them in pain, it bet it was horrible. I'm sure she'll be fine, she looks young enough.

Aw she's absolutely adorable! Must've been horrible to see her in pain, but at least she's alright.
She's a lot better today. Bounding around like her normal self. It makes me wince though because she wags her tail non stop and it's always hitting things. Silly girl!
Awwwwwwwww she's so adorable and her name is so cute!
I hope she's all good now :(

I haven't really had an experience like that. But a few years ago this family had a cat, and me and my sister had to have a baby sitter at the time, and we were playing kerby :P, anyhow, the cat ran across the footpath and the baby sitter said 'I'd laugh if that cat got run over' about a month later it got run over.
Another time, the next door neighbours had a baby black kitten, and they lost her. The neighbour knocked on our door and said 'I think my cats in your car' and we could hear the meows under the bonnet. And there she was!
My cat died, legally she wasn't our cat. She had one owner, then another, then us. We let the next door neighbour look after her whilst we were on holiday, and she never came back. Weird how we came back on Halloween. :(

You were lucky, next time, get your brother to keep his BMX in a shed or something.
