Personally I think it's a bit silly to think you can find a partner on Habbo because, well, it's habbo and you never get to know/meet/see the person and they could be totally different to who they say they are. So that answers the question for me but do any of you?

I know of a few people who've met via habs. I personally don't cos like you say it's hard to find someone who actually has what you like about them online irl but if it works for you then I don't see anything wrong with it.

Habbo can be used in exactly the same way as an internet dating site like match.com can be used, so I don't see why people have such a taboo with it. I met my current girlfriend of two years, who I see every weekend on Habbo.

Well, you could find some-one over Habbo/A dating site quite easily I think, and you could trust some-one if you went on cam/mic with them, because there's a difference between talking on mic and typing on a site, you have time to think what to say over typing so being on mic with the people you think you trust would bring out true colours or make you certain that they're who they say they are...

So, when I'm older (Lolol too young atm) I might find some-one over the internet, I dunno, if it happens it happens... ;)

Dating on Habbo could be done if you move it onto MSN, Skype and everything, and then go on cam + mic etc, because true colours come out over mic because they have no time to think of an answer to what you say to them...

Not on Habbo, but over the internet I have been known to. Twice without regrets. I'm not sure why I ever started to in the first place. I think the reason being a combination of me being lonely, and genuinely not having any romantic feelings for anyone I know in real life. I am not like some people I know online (mostly girls--I'm not trying to be bias here, it's just what I've observed) who seem to always need someone online or off to cling onto! I really think that's silly. Every time I've (jesus christ I must be in a funny mood tonight) *edated* anyone it's always happened in a similar pattern. I'd of been friends with that person prior to, and we'd of just gradually become more detailed, intense and open in our conversations. Why should I put a limit on how close I can be--to someone I like being close to--because of a title? Should I limit it because other people--who I'm never going to meet anyway--are going to mock me? Because people on a Habbo Forum talking about things as important as ham and cheese (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=655090) are seriously going to think I am suddenly less immature? Okay :P

My lifelines to this person are MSN, SMS, email, Skype, webcam (and to be frank using the last two horrify me, but I'm getting better!). Obviously these tools are not ideal grounds of communication in a relationship, especially where physical interaction typically defines a relationships seriousness. However, maybe I'm not comfortable with that, anyway, or hesitant when it comes to that in real life too, so it's not really something that bothers me all too much.

By belief is, if I've established a sort of bond between a person merely through means of text-based communications, where both parties are committed to it's success and it does infact last, then it's probably worth pursuing that person in real life. As a young adult on the verge of being an actual adult, with a little will-power, this is certainly a possibility :)

I'm more of a, if they live near you irl, if you know their brother irl, if your close to them. Date them.
Like I met his sibling irl, then found him on habbo out of the blue. And after like 8 months of bickering, getting closer and stuff we dated for a lil while. But we broke up. However, were becoming close once again as he is gonna live round corner from me irl.
