I dont know if it's gonna be done again or not, but if it is, just some of my personal opinions on it, and feedback. Having been both in and out of there, i think i can provide some fair feedback on it. Oh, and i do think it should be done agian.

Housemates

I thought there was a few things wrong with the chosen housemates. First of all, a lot of them were insanely inactive, this meant that much of the conversation in the house was dead and therefore boring for the outside to read, and even more boring for those inside. Could easily be fixed by simply having a 'probation' period in the first day or two and if the housemates just aren't active enough, then get em out and replace them. Id rather than that having some inactive house.

Also, the people that were chosen. I could be biased because some of them just weren't my cup of tea, but really. A lot of them that were chosen were WAY too nice. I'm not saying get in all people who are idiots, but DJ reaper really stirred things up (damn him being racist and being kicked out.). For instance, if you had put me and muct in, no doubt we would have argued at some point. He would have gotten on my nerves like usual and it would have become something, that was just an example, but by examing the community and seeing who hates who and putting them in together (and more than 1 couple of haters since if one gets voted out itll become boring).

Finally, i felt like much of the housemates were too 'unknown'. Sure Haaaaary won, and id never heard of him, but people had and did know him so not really counting him. But others like Blacktux and such, who i'd never heard of, i didnt really see any point of being there. Sure they added input to the house, but in the end, they were INCREDIBLY unlucky to win because people just didn't know them and the timeframe for HxBB isn't large enough to get to know them. Not saying it's impossible for them to win, just more unlikely. Also getting more known people means that people are more likely to chat with each other BECAUSE they know each other. I sure know i didnt start conversations with people i didn't know because.....im a little by shy ;)

Entrance to the house

I thought this was really good. I had (apart from the few people who were extremely obvious by their own faults) no idea who was going in. Oli did a good job of lying. The order in which people went in was pretty random so some people (like me), was left refreshing it and kept waiting. It was enjoyable indeed. Not to mention the random entrance of some housemates (yey me).

Tasks

Tasks i wasn't so happy with though. I personally didn't feel that there were enough tasks. For the short time i was in the house, there was only one task that had to be done, and i know that much of the outside weren't watching because there was just general chit chat going on for much of the time. I reckon you should make a longggggggg list of tasks to do before actually beginning the thing, and then just spew them out, maybe 2 or so a day. Not boring ones aswell (lets direct ourselves to the competitions feedback we had recently). That isn't to say there wasn't some interesting tasks though, i did particularly like the one i had of matt and garion and then they rated them. Also, i dont think so many tasks should have been poured into the final, partly because if someone such as myself (who actually was) out the whole day, so missed all of that whilst being somewhat uninterested the rest of the HxFBB.


Evictions

There isn't much to say on evictions. I like the way in that they were announced in a suspense filled way, and that people could see how much of the vote they recieved (or didnt). However one thing i would say, is that there should have been more nominations. Allowing people to clearly think out why they dislike someone even if they don't much, can actually bring about some feelings of disliking towards them (which of course would make the house more interesting). Not to mention the use of public nominations are great, especially because of the rifts it creates. I did feel there was a bit too many of the "okay you've been evicted, who you wanna nominate?"

Actual forums + updates

Not much to say about this too really. There was a forum for everything that needed to be said really, and that's that really, so well done to that :p. And just a small mention to bolt and his daily updates. They were really presented. The use of bold text allowed me to skim read and get to what i wanted to read about, and it was easy to read and the fact that everything important was put in was great, so even if i'd gone out i was able to catch up.

Big Brother

Big brother was a mysterious chracter (HEY OLI). It did its best to reply to what it could and did try and stir a bit i suppose. The sanctions it placed could have been harsher i thought, but it did have its good moments such as where some of the housemates discussed nominations cause they loved everyone and as a result everyone was put up (AND I WENT THANKS BTW GUYS). And of course similar comments about Lil B and Lil S, even though their fight over harry was a bit weird.

I couldn't really comment on the finale because i was out so i missed....all of it and came back to see the winner (wd harry). So someone else will have to give their feedback on that. So this has been the longest thread i've ever made, just my thoughts on the whole thing, might add more later and of course feel free to add whatever. I didn't read over it because its pretty late and im pretty lazy, so if there is something you didn't understand, just say.

To add it simply because I'm tired. It was great at first by adding people like reaper etc. for more drama, making people follow it etc. However, by the last couple of days it was nothing like BB as there was close to 0 drama, hence people stopped following it and the followers plunged. I think they needed to create more things to stir it up. Tasks were good, well organised etc. It's just that initial problem there :)!

I agree with Grig. It must be hard thinking of tasks and stuff cos it's just a forum at the end of the day but there should have been more twists and turns. I particularly liked the secret tasks and applaud Blacktux for his ingenius method of getting Harry's parents' ages + names :P

In all honesty, HxBB just didn't interest me at all; but I suppose that's because I find the real life Big Brother boring as well. I kinda felt sorry for the housemates at one point as they were just stuck in the house, forcing small-talk upon one another.

Well done to everyone who actually went in, I wouldn't have been able to spend so long without the forum.. :P

HabboxForum Big Brother was always going to be a hard event to pull off and trust me, it required a hell of a lot of work :P
I can confirm that housemates were chosen based on their application and my previous knowledge of them whether they would argue and stir things up and I think most housemates did this to some extent. What shocked me is the public seemed to vote out the most argumentative types out, I mean smiffy, Saurav, FlyingJesus, @TheRemel, Blacktux and buttons are prime examples of those who would just cause arguments in the house.

We couldn't just be like "oh you're popular & post in spam a lot - you can go in the house" as I don't think it's fair to just use popular people and that's why I set out to use around 50% known people and 50% less known people, the only bad side was the public voted out all the argumentative lot/the ones people inside the house didnt like - so by the end they all got on.

Tasks were something that were particularly difficult to come up with, as Inseriousity correctly said - it's a forum there isn't much we can do but I do feel there should have been more tasks - the reasoning for a lot of tasks on the final day was due to there only being 3 housemates, it was obvious not much would happen unless we did something, although we still managed to achieve 100 voters in the final poll which shows people were watching.

Whether we'll do it again? I don't know, it's been an extremely stressful two weeks for me as my job as Forum Manager isn't straightforward when I don't have to run a large event at the same time - nevertheless I won't stop doing such events. I think the biggest problem regarding Big Brother was the time we did it - it should have been done in the Summer Holidays because then viewers and housemates alike could have had all the time in the world to do it - I've personally been off anyway but in the daytime at the moment we get few people online because of school/college - so perhaps it'd be an idea to consider doing it in the holidays if it were to happen again.

Overall an interesting event but I am glad it's over :P

tbh the only best part about it was the entrance. . . after that it sort of got boring. i never really followed it unless something interesting happend like when they lost points.

also the worst thing about it was the fact that i got blamed for something (another user did) by smiffy which i thought was pretty stupid.

Ha, dont worry. I know it would have taken alot to pull off, so wd for that hehe. And being based on just their application i dont feel should have been done. Looking at who they get on and who they dont get on with in the forum would have helped a lot. Perhaps asking the moderators of certain forums for people who usually argue, because then you still get perhaps unknown people, but can still create some entertainment. Personally, i dont really know anyone who regularly posts in the tech forum. Doesnt always have to be people from the spam forum.

And i guess so, damn you public.

Glad you agree hehe, but surely sitting down before the event and just spending a bit thinking up various different things could come up with something interesting. Off the top of my head, if you have 9 housemates, then say there's 9 tiles. You give each housemate one tile, and tell them where they're meant to draw (top right, top left, middle etc.). Give the thing they're meant to draw, eg a man. Then you put them all together at the end (in the right order), and then BB rates it on how good it looks together and how accurate it is with each other (considering theres 9 different artists, it could be one interesting picture.) But that's me being bad at explaining, and if needed then pictures can always be used if you didn't quite get what i meant.


Whether we'll do it again? I believe it should be done again with a few changes here n there, it'd be pretty good. And if you can't always handle it, im sure you could appoint someone trustworthy ;) ;) to run it. And yeah, i completely forgot it wasnt the summer holidays since im on study leave. Although, since im on study leave i get up at like 2 or 3 anyway, so its like having school xD.

I think Habbox Big Brother should be scrapped to be honest. Its just an excuse for arguments and spam and we see that all over the forum enough without having a section dedicated to it. It was pretty pointless if you ask me.

Insanely active? hardly! They were on at least 1-2 hours a day which was what was required. Everyone spoke to everyone, even Blacktux who was moaned at for not being on which wasn't his fault. I just didn't get along with him for other reasons:P

I was sooo glad there were nice people there, normally nice people finish last but obviously not if Harry won. I feel bad arguing with nice people (well not all them...) so that's probably why I kept quiet most the time. Yet I was pleasantly suprised at how ****** some people who weren't well known could be (Blacktux). ^^ I don't think everyone was too nice at all and some of them, especially Smiffy & Blacktux, stood up for themselves well which you rarely see on here because everyone has their little groups of friends who jump in.
It actually taught me to not judge people, I normally automatically hate all staff so was expecting to dislike Blacktux & Harry. They're just usually so immature, unwitty and boring(A) I knew of the rest anyway and had already pin-pointed my targets (MrPinkPanther :eusa_whis) straight away but ofcourse, I ended up being wrong about them. Smiffy's comebacks were hilarious, much better than what I knew would come from Saurav, Wootzeh, YOU! & Kk. lol

Full of unknown people = extremely boring, full of popular people = they'll all get along :S You need to have a mix of people, I personally feel there was actually too much obvious people put in i.e me, Saurav, Wootzeh, Flyingjesus, Kk.. In the end that didn't matter 'cause I nominated Tom and chose Wootzeh n Kk. to go :eusa_danc
Anyway, who wants to see all the usual people post when they do any other day? Especially when we actually all get along? It's much better having people who don't know each other and can be themselves.
Also the arguments were so fake, hence why I didn't participate. I can't stand when people argue with people just for other members pleasures, I only do when they deserve it. No-one in the house did, don't really want to mention names but put someone I do have a history of arguing with and I'd end up probably perm banned....

It wasn't the tasks that were bad, it was the co-operation. I'm glad I wasn't kept till near the end or loads of points would be lost. I thought they were actually hard, I spent ages on the love letter, everyone made their's look so easy but my imagination was just gone. When I first saw the task I thought it'd be easy but then my mind went blank ;l Big Brother tried to spice it up by putting some of us with people that they knew we didn't get along with. I thought that was very clever but unfortunately that backfired on me:P

By the 2nd task everyone had given up after trying once, there was like no leadership, I tried to take the lead but I don't have that influence (so much for little bo peep ;)). Lucy seemed to like being the one who'd tell bigbrother our answers so I think most just left it to her to do it. i did anyway...

Yeah deffo. I wanted to be able to nominate more. Honestly I'd have most likely tried to sway peoples nominations in my favour or tried to stir things up around it but never got the chance to:(


There should've been more secret tasks, a mole & more stuff to stir it up. Taking points off me at the start because of Saurav was also very clever because they knew he was going in to the house so I used that to try get the rest of the housemates against him. We were all taking things in to our own hands, @TheRemel starting the whole avoiding the filter etcetc because there was just nothing that would turn us against each other :S I tried to get points off us by pretending I had a secret task, backfired on me and just got me infracted, no points off:'( could've like shown peoples nominations or something as a punishment.

Just like real bb, the ones who argue are always put out first o.o was obvious Saurav would argue with someone, didn't expect Blacktux to have an opinion (well he is staff lol) or be capable of that rant in the diary room so gg he was a good contestant just unfortunate time zones.

er it's not all about arguing. I was getting extremely bored of it as it was always everyone against one person hence why I took the 'mother role' (cause I'm an angel). I didn't want to show that all I can do is argue with people when there's so much more to me but in the end I don't think it mattered either way as people who WEREN'T watching voted me out probably due to me not generally being very nice before BB. The same with how I thought people would be weak and probably just follow everything that most people did (which a few did do) but they stood up for themselves. Like how Lucy was telling us off, Smiffy getting heated up and Blacktux standing up against me. If that were in spam they'd probably be flamed to bits >.> whereas Saurav (not attacking u luv ya) only showed he could argue .


Sorry for long post, I don't care if people weren't watching. I didn't when I got evicted but I enjoyed being in anyway, I liked not having all my usual friends (graham:'() in so I could just be myself. no private jokes, no people I wanted to attack, all good.

i really agree with the bit about if it is done next time it should be done in the holidays. during the days the house was so dead and i doubt a lot of the audience is on during the days, so if it was to be done in the summer next year or something that would be way better.

it was quite boring there was only four tasks i think until the final when there was just loads all of a sudden, and this must have been really boring for the audience as well as us in the house, though i do appreciate its hard to come up with tasks for a forum bb.

i agree with basically everything niamh said except for the bit about only putting popular people in. that would just be so bad, it would be like spam v2? like jen said they would all know each other and would get on and have loads of inside jokes that no one else gets. the whole point of bb is to have a mixed bag of people in, so just selecting people from the same group would be boring to watch imo.
