A modest £400,000 home, £150,000 worth of Range Rovers, one new overfinch and one second hand vogue, £50,000 on holidays and enjoying myself and then I would get the rest in cash and put it under my bed.

invest it, if you invest it at the a good rate, you could make 90 000 a year in interest.

It's interesting how far some people seem to think 1 million pounds can get you. Because it can't.
I would put it in the bank :)

Why would you buy an "amazing" car anyway? You can't really go very fast on roads in Britain so apart from looking good & getting from A to B it's a waste of money. Not to mention the fact that going 40MPH in a Lamborghini(whatever) makes you look like a prat.
No, I'd stash it in a bank. I wouldn't let anybody know I had that amount of money anyway because if it was out in the open you wouldn't get away from people begging for money. I'd tell my friends & family, live off the interest and save up the interest for a house/car. It wouldn't be necessary to touch the £1,000,000 and I'd leave it to my family when I died. With that lecture over apparently you have to have around 10,000,000 to be considered a millionaire these days.
Lottery anyone?

Silly idea. Surely you'd rather see your family enjoying the money rather than leaving it to them when you've popped your clogs and can't see it being spent?
I do agree though. A million pounds really isn't that much money these days.
I'd spend it on a nice house in Florida which would probably come close to spending it all :)
A flat for myself and a house for my parents, a mini, loads and loads of clothes :D

I'd use the money to get myself a nice collection of cars for when I turn 17, a Range Rover, Bentley Continental and perhaps an Audi S3, anything too powerful would be stupid and pointless at such a young age and hardly any driving experience. With all that money I'm sure I could get someone to insure me. ;)

id probably buy a few things for myself, maybe save like 1/5th of it or so then give the rest to charity. ive always felt like the wealthy have a responsibility to give to the needy.

I wouldn't do anything different, but the money being there would make life easier in lots of ways.
I'd give my grandad some of it to get what he needs for him and my auntie, I'd keep lots for when I'm older, that's when i'd need it the most for Uni a house and all that stuff.
I wouldn't waste it on cars and fancy expensive stuff.

I'd quit my job for a start.
Then buy a brand new bright red Renaultsport Clio 200 with anthracite gray wheels and the numberplate CL10 DAN. I'd also give some of it to my parents so they can pay off their mortgage, then probably just save the rest (using it for insurance for the car, would probably need more than that due to the current premiums I'm paying).

Same. But probably invest more of it.
