What would you get out of making a Habbo fansite? You can't be looking for a partner and rely on them, which is what it seems you want to do.

So,.. you want someone who will help you run the site. (and help create/build i asume?).
You want someone who will 'contribute', in other words put their funds into your site.
And on top of those, you want to earn some money off the whole thing ?.

well,

In order to find someone who would help you run and create the site, you have to have a plan. Ask yourself these questions:

Whats the concept of my site ?

How will I be different from any other website within this concept, what would make my site stand out ?

Do I have sufficient knowledge aswell as funds to build and run this project ? Yes you could hire staff, but know, a company with a bad CEO, would fail very fast. So as the owner, you'll have to be able to run your site. Manage your staff. Take care of financial issues etc. Can you do this ?

Do I have a good advertisement plan ? How will I get the word out about my site ? How can I make users interested enough to register.

Am I willing to spend money on this project ? Am I willing to split the earnings I receive from it ? You'll have to split your earnings between yourself, your co-owner and any people who are interested in 'investing' in your project.

Those are just a few questions. I'm sure you could think of more yourself too.
You're looking for investors, contributors, co-owners. But in order to convince people that their time, efforts, funds will be worthwhile, you'll have to have a good, solid plan.

You cannot make a good, profitable website with an attitude like: 'i wanna make summit and earn cash of it'.
Maybe a few have, but that is a 1 in a million chance which you shouldn't hope or focus on.

I'm not flaming at you or anything, and I don't mean to offend you in any way. I just think you should think this through before you actually start with this project.
Honestly, a website is like a real life company. And I don't know the laws in England, but in Belgium you cannot even start a company, if you don't have a solid, good business plan to show. Thats the best I can compare it to.

I hope this helps you. Good luck in the future.

True, I think the reason being, its voluntary. If you compare a website to a company (again :P ) in a company, employees get paid.
Its one of the main reasons they still do their job. ^^

Lol yeah - my current staff - being currently voluntary, most of them don't do what there supposed to. Hoping to replace some lol but is it worth replacing bad ones with bad ones
