I am not a 'cool ego' person so I manage to do my tie properly, look smart and formal, not looking like I can't make my tie :)

How do you measure someones ego by their tie? That's the first time I've ever heard that lol.

@Topic: I had my tie normal length & it was the same throughout my school days because I'd always have it pre-tied for me going and I never removed the knot.

I don't know what it's like in the rest of England, however 'peanut' ties are associated to nerds, large ties are associated to 'well cool' people.

That's what it's like in our school anyway

Have it tied at a normal length, with the chunky bit showing. But then have the actual tie bit tucked into my shirt above the second button. So you can just see the knot. ayee

Interesting question ;) the bottom of my tie was about where my bellybutton is.
the knot of my tie however was about the middle of my chest
(knot was always rather chunky)

Really lol? The peanutted and small tied are associated to the cool badass people in our school, if you have a long tie you're a target for peanuts.

I think he means the knot, like if the knot if tight, it's for 'nerds' and if it's fat and big it's for 'cool' people.
Basically in my school, all the pikeys and plastics and all those people have big knots and short ties to try and be cool. They got lots of detentions. The smarter people in our school wore our tie 'peanutted' because that meant it was at the proper length, thus avoiding having to spend an hour after school every day.

That is crazy, asking for so many stripes to be seen/visable!

Wearing it with just the thin part showing is best though!

Very short and fat just makes you look like a Year 7 school girl, guys who did it got ripped on and rightly so. I just had quite an average length tie and a not too tight or fat knot.

Our school had a unique way of how we wore our jumpers. We used to have the back of the collar of the shirt showing with the front tucked in. You couldn't even see the tie at all, so nobody wore them unless we had our jumper off.

I don't know how long I had it, it used to be a little bit above my belly button - but i'v grown since so I can't really say an exact size.

Yeah, having it with the thin part only showing in that length is cool too!!

Tie's are quite fashionable for people over the age of about 13 at the moment.

Also believe it or not, there is something called formal dress lol

Kind of medium length, I don't like it when they're mega short with those huge knots, and I hate it when they're realllllly long :|
