Time for Change: HxHD Ownership

Hey guys. I think it's about time someone else owned HxHD? With all due respect to Jin, he's not online often enough to own and manage it. Reasons for a change in owner:

- Layouts can be changed to fit with different themes: summer, christmas, halloween etc.
- Rights can be distributed quickly and easily to Super Staff so the room can be moderated effectively. I understand not very many people have rights and this makes things difficult. Equally, rights can be removed easily if someone gets fired or resigns.
- Room bans can be given to persistent trouble makers, this will avoid a lot of trouble with people who repeatedly reload the room and waste a lot of staff time with repeated kicking. (Guilty)
- It's good to have the owner in the room a lot, people love to see the room owner.
- Other issues regarding the room can be quickly dealt with between an active owner and manager.
- Change is always good. :)


I personally believe that Garion should own the room, mainly because he is the most active on Habbo and I see him in the room regularly. (I would know.) Another reason is that I see him get involved in HxHD activities
often, such as room moderating, helping users and guiding staff.

I think this should happen too, Jin just isn't on enough to properly manage it.
I think either Garion or xxMattGxx should manage it, no matter how noobish his name is.

Also i'm pretty sure Jin has alot more items than garion/mattg so he can make better rooms with more variety of furni etc than they 2

I agree.. I want nixt to own it because rights can be awarded quicker to new staff and themes can be changed in the rooms earlier because hes online more :D

Well i could make sense during the festival season when Jin is very busy. It is desperately in need of a summer layout but surely it would be Roxy as she is Community Agm?

In all due respect, Roxy should get the events department worked out, who are still waiting on reports from last month I believe.

I think Nixt is most active. It has to be said, I mean, whenever I'm online (rarely nowadays) he is always on line. Chatting to people and I usually stalk him to find him in the Help Desk.

You say Jin has a lot more iteams but it doesn't really matter, it just needs to look sophisticated and the theme needs to fit.

Erm, yes it does

Someone with alot less items won't be able to make a decent theme compared to jin with alot can make a very good one

But yeh if it was to be changed, which it shouldnt then i'd agree with Roxy

Due to the shuffling with management last month, they will be merged with this months so they can give a more accurate report. With Charlottay not being in Events for months, Phil being relatively new and Roxy being away.. they would be pretty much pointless. Then again, what happens in the Events section doesn't really concern you :)

Years ago, I always thought the furniture used in HxHD was passed around the different owners. When nvrspk4 owned the room, I was under the impression all the petals, majestics, etc were donated by Habbox members and were passed down to him when he took ownership.

Nixt is probably the most active on Habbo out of all the General Management, so he would probably be best. The only problem is there is more chance of Nixt resigning than :Jin: doing so... which would mean the desk changing owners again :P

The majs etc were donated to him or owned by him

I've already explained why to you. This thread is not about the events department, this is about the ownership of HxHD.

If it changes from Jin it should be with either the Community AGM or General Manager as only their jurisdiction would cover Habbox Help Desk, it would be ridiculous having the Staff or Content AGM owning HxHD - when it's the Community AGM responsible for it.

Oh thanks, but I think it should stay with Jin anyway. I don't see any massive problems him owning it makes and he has a nice range of furniture which is appealing to many people.

Wouldn't be practical for Joe to own HxHD, he is no what related to it.

I dont know whats happening now, but when i left we'd already got a summer layout designed it was just about switching it.. I dont think it should be changed ownership

Hmm, that's a bit harsh to publically blame Roxy. We have all been busy last month which was explained in the EO forum so I don't think you should pass comment unless you know the details.

I agree though, I do think it's time that someone who's more active in the hotel owns the room to make things more versatile.

I'm not blaming Roxy at all. I was using that point as an argument against her having to own the HxHD. I know the events department is behind and I know why... I just think events should get back in normal order and function before Roxy takes on another burden.

Roxy wouldn't have to do much though, because she is on a lot and would have to own it and redesign it every-so often. I'm just thinking about the finance side of things because I know Roxy doesn't have a lot of furniture to spare.
