When I change file names or make a new folder on desktop, it doesn't show unless I refresh the desktop...

Any idea what this could be? I currently producing a Hijack LOG as I think a virus or malware is infected my computer and Im assuming at this moment its been injected to the explorer.exe

Any ideas?

Regards

What specifications are your computer? If the computer is older than 4 -5 years old it's probably the hardware.

The best thing to do would be to back up, format and restore your data.+

Try this:

1. Open regedit (start->run->regedit.exe),
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\Control\Update
3. Make sure there is a dword key called UpdateMode with value 00000000
4. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
5. Make sure there is a dword key called NoNetCrawling with value 00000000
6. Log off/back on, see if the problem still exists.

You should of course then do a scan with a decent a/v eg. malwarebytes/nod/kaspersky

Good luck
