lol

tbh u gotta admit we where the best candidates for the main merge hotel, whe had been open longer then them. we had more players than them. we even had their DOMAIN untill we kindly decided to let them have it, the list could go on really

but why didnt they get merged to the uk domain?

It's probably because .com is the more commonly used domain suffix. .co.uk is specifically UK whereas .com is a more generic domain suffix used more often. At least that's why I think they made the decision. If ya get me

What Garion said.
I'm sure all those users would have loved to put .co.uk on the end of everything.

Doesn't matter anyway, it would be the same.

I guess it kinda does make more sense that they should've merged to .co.uk as:
1) Theres more users on.
2) Less complicated.
3) More popular.
4) Britains awesome;')

Just because we originated from .co.uk I find it quite ignorant to suggest that they should have been merged into us.

Many years ago, there was a large downfall in shares and it was known as the ".com market" even back then. .com covers much more places whereas .co.uk is simply the UK.
This is just like someone from the Spainish hotel moaning everyone should merge into .es :)

because .co.uk generally means UK websites & .com generally means most countries and with .com having 4 other nationalities, it makes perfect sence to use a .com domain

That was the worst example to use ever. ;)

.co.UK is just for UK, .com can be anything.

Technically speaking, all 5 hotels merged to a new hotel.
Formerly the US server was located in LA, but now it's in Finland. This means it's actually a new server, using the main files from old .com, but a new hotel technically.

.com domain is the ONLY choice. There is no way they would have used the .co.uk domain for the main hotel.

It bothers me that we have been "Americanized" as well. Although I am Canadian and am quite used to American companies being the standard here.

I agree and asfore the last discussion about the domain, the .com stands for .company (You all probs know that) so that is the only choice and as others said .co.uk stands for .company.uk meaning that it is for the UK. Couldn't it just be .AU and .CA and the other one merge instead of all merging?
