Could you live without technology if there was a way all technology stopped working? That means phones, iPods, laptops.. EVERYTHING. I probably could but it would make life very very hard.

I get distressed when my internet goes off. I feel so lost and don't know what to do with myself. So no :)

No, because Technology means everything you use, from a Computer down to a fork.

Simple answer is no.

Think how much you use laptops, PC's and mobile phones.

We wouldn't cope.

Probably not! If we suddenly all had to, it would take a lot of getting used to :P

Interesting response.

No, I couldn't. The people of today are simply not cut out for a life without technology.

I always have my mobile with me and I always use my laptop or watch TV.

If everything did go - what would people do during the day... i for one dont have any ideas!

Yeah, same with me, if my internet goes of eg powercut hubs gone wrong. I oanic and feel lost and have nothing really to do. Because as some of you know this is where i spend most of my life (sad isn't it) so yeah, no internet means unhappy Shockwave. I also could live without my mobile. That goes everywhere with me.

Nobody could live without it, the stock market would implode, thousands of people rioting. All post and communcations would be lost which would lead to global de-economisation (is that even a word?)

Would that really be their main concern? It's unlikely anyone would know about any of that, seeing as communication would nearly all collapse :/ Would people really riot? Last time a power cut happened I don't remember rioting when it happened for ages at a time :P If anything, governments would get onto their little emergency meetings and send a shockware of officials out to every part of the country with messages of what is happening and so forth. It's unlikely they would immediately riot unless given a reason to :P

Of course I'd be able to live without it, anyone who says otherwise is just stupid. You wouldn't just drop dead.

What about people on life support machines? That's technology. Take that away and yes, they would "drop" dead.

I don't think we would riot in that sense but a lot of angry people. Although we don't normally have power cuts that last for so long.

When they say "could you live without" they don't mean Oh we don't have it now, we should all die. Basically can you manage life normally without it and what not. Some people will be fine, others will struggle. Also Stephen highlighted a very good point regarding the "drop dead" scenario.
