For simplicity and organizational purposes when it comes to forum styles I think moderation tags are a good idea. They can be tailored to inherit a native look in comparison to the the theme the user's using.

Pretty much that. But the final decision on them isn't given until we test out the notices and see what we can do with them. (Size/Shape etc)

I quite agree, although the one I have demonstrated is a mere rough copy we'll be doing a lot of perfecting on it if we are to use them (and of course I am not saying we are going to yet as I need to see a few more things).

It's not copying CHF at all, lots of forums have mod boxes, when I first saw them it was on a forum that's not even a Habbo forum. If it makes the forum look neater and tidier it's good for me.

i remember the chatbox, but the fact it wasn't integrated into the forum and instead left lingering right at the bottom unlike a shoutbox would be right at the top, probz minimized too............... well yeah you can see why it wasn't used much. they got rid of it infact.

I'm personally not a big fan but it appears that the majority of the members are in favour of the idea. If they are aesthetically pleasing then I see no reason why they can't be implemented but I wouldn't be willing to make the change from a simple text edit to the tags unless they looked really nice and didn't stick out like a sore thumb on the skins, which I think they did when they were tested last time. However I have faith in Jamesy's ability so with any luck he can code something that fits well and we will go from there.

You do have a valid point, although I feel writing in red text is a little different to bringing out larger mod warnings everywhere.

Jamesy coded a system were only Administrators, SMods and Mods can use it, if that's what you mean.

You can't use template conditionals in bbcode as far as I am aware. The plugin does pretty much this, infact I've posted it in the "What are you working on?" thread in the d&d forum.

To make the edits look nice, would it not be a good idea to copy the code for the alerts for "Your have a new Visitor Message" and use that and make it red or something? They look nice and would also look nice as edits - maybe with a sexy red exclamation mark on the left.
