I used to do that until I switched to my Mac. Useful for netbooks lacking in screen real-estate.

I use that on my new Netbook which couldn't handle MSN let alone Windows. Stuck with Ubuntu unfortunately.

Why unfortunately? That's a great OS, I used it for about 6 months recently, my only issue was I hated Gimp and needed Photoshop for web developement so I moved back to XP.
Am riding the Windows 7 train now though, it's great :D
Also pidgin is great, love how simple it and quick it is compared to WLM.

Agreed, I love Ubuntu :) I tested it out a couple of years ago but never really got into it, but when I got my new laptop a few weeks ago the first thing I did was install Ubuntu. It's a dual boot thing, so I can play with Ubuntu when I want to, but I still have XP for web development. I know there are alternatives to make web development just as easy in Ubuntu, but I'm just more comfortable with XP, so I get work done a lot faster.
@OP: No, mine isn't patched. It seems like a great little tool, but I just have no need for any of the features.

Nice one, let's make a statement then not back it up with any actual facts or opinions!
