Thought I'd create a thread for people to post the result of a "hard afternoon's cleaning" of their cars, I dunno about y'all but I always want to take pictures of a car I've just cleaned just cos it looks so good while it's shiny (h)

Anyway, today I cleaned my mum's "Zaf Turbo" as my dad likes to call it (irony is, it's a 1.8 petrol, true sheep in wolf's clothing ) after our mahoosive trip to Southport on holiday and back and here's the results:

Nice job! Sponge and bucket job or a jetwash? :D

Also, your 'estate' (if I could call it that, couldn't think of a better word :P), looks like it's from a movie set or very secluded. xD I think it's the trees on the left that make it look like it's pretty much part of a movie. :P

Cheers guys! was a simple bucket + sponge job with "Auto-XS Carnauba Wash + Wax" from Aldi (believe it or not, their car cleaning stuff is very good) then a quick going over drying bits here and there with a microfibre cloth (which was still a little bit soaked from the last time I used it to polish my own car, so it kinda got polished a little bit :P). And yeah tdi - the thing was plastered with them when we got it, pleb at the garage obviously already washed it was a sponge :( so we'll need to sort that at some point. I use the two-bucket method aswell but tbh not much point in a car already ruined from it.

And Dan now that you mention it it kinda does haha - lived here for 6 years and all and never noticed it!

The reflection is great that shows you've put time and a hell of a lot of hard work to get that car really clean! I love this car in general too. Nice work.

Haha, tell me about it, I detail part time. My father's Mondeo is absolutely destroyed with swirl marks, and when I wash it now, I make little effort, it's only a fleet car, going back soon anyway. Whereas the Fiesta I try to avoid everything possible.

Nice effort as well, certainly looks like it's in better nick and is looked after more than most people's cars.
