Moscow had its hottest day in 130 years of records on Monday shrouded in smoke from forest and peat fires burning around the Russian capital. The temperature soared past the July average maximum of 23.1 C to reach 37.4 C (99.3 F), breaking the previous record of 36.8 C set on 7th August 1920.

Woah, pretty impressive! They can get quite warm weather over in Russia as they have alot of land and Moscow is quite far in-land. Though saying that, it's location regarding the Arctic is pretty impressive for 37.4C, especially as the weather lady said it's meant to be about "23/24C", and the cold usually reaches down that far, even though Moscow is about as down south as most parts of England :P

Apparently there are loads of forest fires and Moscow is pretty much covered in smoke :S It's interesting, but my God must it be awful for those Russians :S

Yeah I'm in Russia atm, although not in Moscow, but its way hotter over here in this city than it is in Moscow and tbh it annoys me when people think its constantly cold in Russia. Its cold in Winter, but not in the Summer.

That's exactly the same as Canada. It easily reaches 30C in Canada. Heck--the humidity level today was 30C!

That depends on how one would define the word soon.
