+REP Washing plimsolls?

When I wash my plimsolls they come out fine but after wearing them they are marked with a sandy brown line. I usually wash my plimsolls on a 30-40 degree wash separate from other clothing; they come out fine, white and looking new and I dry them either outside or on a surface inside. The problem occurs however when I slip them back on, after moving about in them I find that they have been marked by a brown line that seems to have spread around the shoe. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it?

Hey, when washing machines get older sometimes the rubber can wear away internally and expose nails. These nails get rusty and get end up leaving rusty marks on items of clothing, I also heard that cotton is known for being effected the most when you have rusty nails exposed which may explain why it doesn't happen to all of your clothes. If this is not the problem then cleaning products such a Calgon can solve it with just one use of it. Hope this helped! :)

Yeah it sounds like Washing Machine problem, our old one used to do it before we got a new one.

Its definitely not a washing machine problem, the dirt from right inside the shoe is worn through to the top when wearing because the sweat from your feat and the heat causes the particles of dirt to transfer through the thin material :)) Nice to help you.

use interior car material wipes on them. Work a treat :P

wash them like you would, then hand them upside down so the water drips from them and doesn't stay in them.

I wouldn't say it was a washing machine problem myself and the larger clasps are in place of nails to hold the rubber in my machine together, I didn't ever think any manufacturer would use nails in a washing machine. Wouldn't cleaning products such as Calgon leave marks and force the glue holding the rubber part around the plimsolls to creep up the shoe?

I'm doubting that the washing machine is to blame here, I think it'll be more the way I am washing them as opposed to a malfunction with the actual thing.

But I'm washing the dirt out, I'm even removing the inner sole of the shoe and the laces to ensure that the shoe is 100% cleansed of dirt.

How good are these as opposed to flash wipes or that? I don't own a car but I'd give them a shot if they were to take off dirt easily and not leave a bleach like mark or discolouration.

I'm currently doing this. I had them on a stain wash (to remove the weird line) and they are currently drip drying outside on the washing line.
