Tarot Card Readings

Anyway, I'm having my tarot read on Friday hopefully and i wanted to know what other people thought about it?
Do you agree that there is a such thing as 'telling the future' or do you agree that everything happens at the time it is happening? I don't really know what I think. I believe that everything happens for a reason but I also believe that everyones lives are planned out in a few different ways depending on which paths they take.
I also do not know if a couple of cards can help tell my future, but it'll be interesting to see what's said.

However, I'm also a bit scared that it'll say something like I wont stay with my boyfriend or something.
