Hey,
This thread will mainly appeal to users of Sam Broadcaster but you can also post a few ideas and feedback, it will be much appreciated and will help us out a lot. :)

I'm the owner of RBGuides along with Richie on this forum. RBGuides has been open for a while but we feel that we need a change of the design, content and some new features as it's getting pretty old and boring now.

One of the main features we have planned is shoutcast testing, we may purchase a shoutcast reseller and you can email us or use the live support tool and we will give you the details such as IP address, port password and other inforomation. You can use this to see if your Sam Broadcaster is working correctly. We will also setup links so you can send the link to your friend so they can listen to you too. The password for the shoutcast will perhaps change everyday. You will obviously not recieve administrator access to the shoutcast server for security purposes, you will have to ask the support operator to edit anything on the server for you. This feature isn't definitely being introduced so it's just an idea for now. We think that this may attract a lot of beginners of Sam Broadcaster to the website too. This service will obviously need to be trialled to see if it works well too.

The second feature is live support. We are planning to use LiveZilla at the moment and have a button saying Live Support and you can go on and get any live support from a RBGuides staff member. We will still offer support via email but this is if you want a quicker way to get help. We are planning to have it certain hours each day as we can't promise that it will be on 24 hours a day each week as we do not have enough staff members for this. Do you also think we should offer help via support ticket too?

The third feature is a log in system so you can register and create an account and this could be linked to the support ticket system. And when you login you will recieve extra features such as free scripts for your website and much more which will be decided soon.

We are planning to change the design sometime soon so you can easily navigate around the site and find everything. We have thought of a tool so you can easily edit the colours of the website to suit your needs so people won't moan because we're using a colour that they don't like.

At the moment, I agree that we don't have much content so in the new release we are having lots more content and guides such as all the error codes, what they mean and how to fix them. We are also planning to publish daily tips and useful PAL scripts that may come in useful sometime in Sam Broadcaster.

We don't have much staff members at RBGuides so we are thinking of opening applications if some people wish to take their time to offer support to users of Sam Broadcaster. Please note: all these positions will be voluntary so there will be no pay whatsoever. If you wish to apply for these positions then keep your eyes peeled for support applications.

That's all for now, if you have any suggestions for the new release or any feedback then feel free to post in this thread.

Thanks,
The RBGuides Team.

If you're going ahead with the testing service, it could be based on members booking a 15 minute slot in order to correct their settings and practice their music playback, microphone and effects etc. and at the end of the session an MP3 file is provided of the 15 minute period?

I love the concept behind it and if it becomes popular you should expand it to include WinAmp and VirtualDJ and then you can expand to non-broadcasting software!

Thanks, the site definitely needs a revamp, fresh new layout, a few servers we will allow people to borrow to test out their broadcaster. Any other ideas are welcome & appreciated :).

Thanks, +rep. :)
