Laptops.
Much more portable with pretty much the same specs as a desktop these days.

Desktop wins hands down in everything but portability :P

Sheer computering power, storage and gaming is all I care about on a price to power ratio :P

I use my laptop more but prefer my desktop.
It probably depends on the situation to decide which is better, for gaming you'd probably say desktop, however for social networking whilst abroad, you'd say laptop (unless your packing your desktop lol). :P

I find it easier to type on a laptop, and you can take it out into the garden and it's all nice and jolly. But for the heavy duty tasks you need a desktop just for grunt more than anything, that and gaming on a laptop is terrible!

So desktop for Photoshopping, gaming, downloading, general day to day
laptop for coding, document writing and late night browsing in bed (take from that what you will)

They both have their advantages so both :)

They are both as good as each other really depending on what you are doing. If I am in my room then my desktop is much better for obvious reasons but if I am downstairs or on a train then it's the laptop. They aren't really designed to compete with each over so it's hard to say which is better. If it's just going to be left stationary somewhere then why would you want a laptop? :P
