Connecting sterio/big speakers to PC

just wondering if you can connect those big sterio speakers to your pc & what i'll need to do it/what speakers to use +rep for usefull answers :)

thanks, i'm assuming you just plug this into sterio & computer? also will this work on any tower & speaker?
