Which is the best?

I like them both equally really, I just have whichever I fancy at the time but most of the time I have coffee.

Edited by scott (Forum Moderator): To keep in with the new pointless/one word posting rule, post why you prefer it over the other or something along those lines.

Tea definitely, although it can't be too sugary. Ew. I hate Coffee it just has a really strong, bitter taste.

I find that many people who say they do not like coffee thought they didn't like it because they tried someone else's. With coffee everyone has their own taste; what type of milk and how much of it, what type of coffee and how much of it and also how much sugar (if any). If I'd of tried some that my mum made I would of thought coffee was disgusting as she likes to have a tiny bit of green semi skimmed milk with no sugar. However I like it to be sweet and creamier so have 2 sugars and a nice bit of blue full fat milk. So if you think it is too strong simply add more milk or reduce the amount of coffee you use, if you think it's too bitter then add more sugar. However once you start drinking it you often become addicted and have numerous cups daily. :P

That's a very good point and by the sounds of it I'd go for the sweeter and creamier option but I never feel the urge or the need to drink Coffee so I just don't bother.

Tea, why is this even being asked? Tea ftw!

What do you mean by why is it even being asked? :P You say it like tea is the obvious winner. Well in fact throughout the world tea is the most popular over coffee but in the USA coffee is much more popular. On a forum like this designed mainly for teens many will drink neither, some will drink tea and even a smaller amount will drink coffee. This is because tea can be a much friendlier taste. I can drink tea with all kinds of variations such as loads of milk/not much milk and sugar/no sugar. With coffee if you don't put just quite enough milk in for your taste you will not really enjoy drinking it. As explained in my earlier post which I have quoted many people are put off coffee from when trying someone else's who have a different taste.

Sorry just annoyed me a little, it's like someone saying "Ferrari vs Lamborghini why is this even being asked Lamborghini is the obvious winner" when in actual fact they are both very comparable. :P

Well in fact throughout the world tea is the most popular over coffee but in the USA coffee is much more popular.

tru. i very rarely see people drink tea, but i know coffee addicts from here to california. you can tell how much we love coffee just by the sheer number of coffee shops around; i live in a decently small town, and we have probably 7 or 8 places that sell primarily coffee. i used to even work at one of them lol.

but yeah coffee. i can enjoy tea but i just rarely find myself drinking it. i used to despise coffee, but ive grown to love it, it takes a while to get used to the taste but its really great, i can barely get up in the morning without it. and i agree with what other people said, the smell of coffee definitely beats the taste haha, but i still like to drink it.

I found out that coffee is much more popular by doing a little research but I was already expecting it considering I can't actually think of an American film were they are drinking tea. :P

So what part of new york do you live in? We were considering NY for a 2 week holiday/vacation but the way the pound to the dollar was at the time and how expensive it was going to be to stay in a good hotel it just wasn't reasonable at the time with our house project.

lol yeah, it's kinda a stereotype among american working men/women in movies to be coffee addicts, or at least always drinking a latte or iced coffee or something.

well currently i'm in colchester, connecticut (state above new york) where i grew up, im here for summer vacation. that's the town i was talkin bout above. but most of the year i'm in stony brook, ny, which is a college town about 30-40 minutes out of the city.

i honestly cant remember a time i've actually stayed in a hotel in new york city, the times i've stayed there has always been with friends or family or girlfiriends who live there. but yeah i'd imagine hotels would be pretty unreasonably expensive. 2 weeks seems like a long time to be there though. dont get me wrong its a pretty awesome city and it is gigantic, but all the stuff really worth seeing is in a relatively small area, mostly manhattan, you could probably do all the required site-seeing in a relatively short period of time.
