I'm looking for a new computer the only good pre built ones I came accross was alienware but they are so expensive like 2k€, I'm looking to pay a monthly fee over time, rather than paying it all at once. Any good sites that do monthly pay & that are actually decent computers?

I was looking into paying for an imac monthly but they don't seem to offer than for irish costumers for some reason. If anyone knows if this is actually possible let me know, I've looked around their site but can't find anything. www.apple.ie

Alienware is a brand name like Apple.

Get one from Dell (http://dell.co.uk) (who are Alienware's parent company anyway).

I've heard things about dell though, like the quality gets worse very quick etc do you think i could get a desktop from dell that would last me a good 2 - 3 years

If Dell computers can stand school life for 3 years, a home computer could last you longer. EASILY.

True, but the speed is my main problem, I can't stand slow computers. I'm speaking to one of dell representatives they are no help at all, take about 5minutes to reply with 'are you buying today'.

HP computers seem to catch my eye lately. But I think they might be out of their sale period so the prices might not be that amazing :/ Dell are okay though, all companies have crappy computer support :P

Im not sure if they sell them or how much they are, but my old pc was a hp, and through everything that i put the poor thing through, it lasted me more than 5 years, so i'd say thats pretty good.

Yeah im pretty cheap. No idea about the specs but it ran stuff like WoW on low (but at around 35-40 fps, so could have been better). Wasn't ever really slow except for the start up when i'd login, that'd take absolutely forever. Probably coz i downloaded so much crap onto it.

yh but still something could break and I might not have a clue what actually broke, but if it broke down I could send it bk to dell or get a dell repair man to come out and fix it the next day.

if you build it it wont break

and u learn stuff so can do it ebtter in future and stuff

buying parts yourself generally you get better specs for the money than from something like dell/hp/etc

I bought a Dell desktop pc in January 2008, works fine and is still fast. Only problems i've had were viruses which is nothing to do with the hardware, and one hard drive failure which was fixed by Dell promptly and for free.
