Possible to get a Mac address

Is it possible to pull up a mac address like it is for you to pull up someones IP address?
Because im trying to work out a better way of banning people than IP, or account banning.
Any ideas?

Pretty certain (as Fazon said) it has to be done through Flash. I remember that HabboRemix back in the day used to ban people based on mac addresses, no idea how they got them though.

Even if you ban their mac address, some people change them you know from dodjy routers so mac address banning isn't always effective. ;)

You don't need a dodgy router to change your MAC, you can manually change it through your Internet's settings. It can be done via flash, even on the web, not just if it's a desktop application.

neither is ip banning, there is always a way around been banned from something virtual? i think lol
