A month or so ago I posted a thread saying I was going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

I've been now and I can't describe it as anything else but awesome..

It was so popular the area of the park itself was fenced off and I had to queue an 1 hour 1/2 to get into Hogsmeade I then had to queue a further 90 minutes to get onto the actual ride which was also awesome!

I managed to film Hogsmeade and the outside of the castle but sadly I was ordered to put my camera in a locker by a 'wizard' as it wasn't safe to put it in my pocket for the ride so I was unable to film the inside of the castle which was worth seeing even if you don't want to ride..

My mum and dad have assured me they don't mind having this video put on the internet so for anyone who'd like to see the stuff I filmed see below..

To be fair I'm not an expert camera man so there may be a few dodgy angles I was also barely able to move due to the masses of people I would also suggest you view the video from Youtube itself and select the option to view it in HD as the quality is 100% better

On this day I was a true British nerd and proud :8

enjoy!

Whenever you end up going I'd suggest you go on a thursday or friday in the afternoon.. we had to learn that the hard way in the video was the first time we went and people even had to queue 40 minutes to get into the gift shop!

We returned later on in the week after 3pm and didn't have to queue to get into that part of the park and was able to walk around and look without being crushed by the crowds :)

Pretty impressive video to be honest :P You'll see more in your one than any official video (of the area, rather inside the secret parts of buildings like official ones seem to do).

So can you go in the castle or is it all for show?

You queue through the castle to get through to the main ride.

You get to see a lot of cool stuff like Dumbledore's office where they use some sort of special effects to make it look like he has come out to greet you.. you then walk through a hall where all the paintings talk some of which insult you as your a muggle. You then go through the the Defence Against the Dark arts class room where again they use special effects to make it look like Harry, Ron and Hermione have come out to say hi. They then do some sort of magic which causes it to snow white foam all over the queue lol. They use the room of requirement to enchant a magic bench to help you fly so you can escape Professor Binns boring lecture you then basically get on the ride and ride around while all this crazy stuff happens :O.

Like I said in the description I wish I had my camera to film what was inside the castle but the Wizard at the entrance wouldn't let me take it in because of the ride :(
