Windows Live Messenger keeps crashing

I often now have to sign in about 5 times to WLM as it keeps crashing. Often an hour or so on it and it crashes again. I've uninstalled it but reinstalling it still has the problem.

I have Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8117.416) - i just get a message that it has caused an error - clicking debug doesn't work.

Oh and I'm using XP Pro

Get more ram or run a virus scan :)

i have 2gb of ram and never had this problem - i've not detected any viruses but might reboot into safe mode tonight and do a scan with malwarebytes

This has been happening loads over the past few days and it's very annoying. No idea why it's happening my rams fine and i've scanned for viruses twice in 3 days :(
