I was just wondering, is there an articles archive? It would be a good feature to have because although it was discontinued, some of the articles were good to read and I think it would be nice just to see some sort of archive because I know I want to read some more of those articles, as I'm interested at what they wrote (mainly Mike cos I actually never read one of his articles :P).
This would be great if there isn't one, and if there is, where could I find it?

I know most (if not all) of the articles are all safely tucked away, and are still there. I think maybe an old articles archive could be nice to see, and would be good memories for some people. I guess we have to wait and see what Alkaz says in terms of whether it could have a place on the site, or whether this wouldn't be possible. An archive section might be nice, with perhaps some old memories of articles, graphcics, old site features, room reviews, content etc. Could be quite interesting to see some of Habbox' past.
If it's not possible then I'm sure I would be allowed to give mike a copy of any articles he wrote he wishes to see. xD
Inseriousity.

lol I knew nothing about it, alex being nosy again :P
It'd be nice but it'd probably clutter up the site pointlessly
It's perhaps something we could introduce with V6, some form of archiving widget perhaps? Joe may have some ideas surrounding it ;D

It would only have to be a little button somewhere saying "Articles Archive".

Hmm ok, sounds like a good idea.

I've just been looking into this. But it seems we would have to archive the articles our self and there is quite a lot of them. I haven't looked too deeply into this, so there would most likely be an easier way of doing it.

It depends whether you would want all of them or just selected ones really. you can always chose a date/cut off point, and just reinstate the entire articles category into an archieve subsection somewhere.
I can't personally see it being used that much, but I can see how it would be nice to have a bit of history to look back on, and gain memories from. Things like this which are part of habbox' past are always nice to see now and again. Perhaps if there's an anniversary coming up soon there could be a special week or something where past site content is remembered and shown off somewhere or something.
You could always use http://www.archive.org/ to make your own I guess. Shame there's no official one.

Actually. Instead of this idea, there is a search function on the site so when you put in: Inseriousity. two pages of content come up in regards of that name. :P

As Matt has just pointed out, you can also use the search box on the site if you know roughly what you're looking for. Old articles/content from past sections should still appear! xD

On the server articles go back to March 2006 and since then there has been 34,124 articles published. So to compile an archive of articles from then would be extremely difficult although I guess we could start one from January 2010. For the time being as Matt has already said the best option would be to use the search toolbar on the site. :]
