heya,

basically i have seen this done at a few sites now and i dot know if it has been done here before bu i think it would be good,

its like an award ceremony or the people of habbox wheter it is listeners, users and staff.

there are certain sets of catgories and for each title say like " Best Dj " you would send in who you think should be up for it.

then the 4 most nominated people or things get put up to the public vote and the winners are announced on special show which is held on the main site, and incase you miss it or dont like tuning in they are also put on the forum as they are announced

so what do you think? feedback please

( sorry for any mistakes or ***** coz im on a ew laptop and im still geting used to the keyboard )

TheHabboFansiteAwards or what ever they were called ran by Invent! were mostly used every year but i don't think thats coming back so yeh if Habbox had one it would be awesome!

Really like the sound of that idea, n with lots of categories spreading everywhere, then im sure itll be pretty damn popular.

I remember Habbox had an awards ceremony before, think it was hosted by the GM a while ago (can't remember who) and that turned out quite well. Would be good to see some others, including the staff awards and user awards.

You mean the Habbox Staff awards around December 2009 hosted by Sammeth etc. If so, that will probably return. Although I think Smiffy's idea is more external where the community vote for the best DJ and so on, right?

Yeah i like the public idea, more involvement. And not just staff awards, but awards for everyone, even on the forum. could have a member of the year n whatnot.

its a chance to see who the most dedicated members are and thts why it ill not only be tings like who are ur fav staff, more like " best newcomer" funniest spammer" " coolest party room"

if u iz stuck for cats i would love to helpThey're called "Oscars" though, I think a more appropriate name would be "The Habboxers" but anyways. It's a good idea but I'd save it for December/January, that's award season seeing as it's the end of the year, not midway through it.

Yeah I like the idea of the public, I mean there was one ran by Sammeth. last year (woo best comps staff) but with the public involved it also shows the side of "public involvement". Some people I only know because I talk to them as they're staff (not saying that that's a bad thing for the public because I know alot of them too :P) but if I wasn't staff I wouldn't really know them. I trust staff would be able to vote also, though?

Yeah Sammeth ran Habbox Staff awards when he was an AGM (Staff) [I think it was staff] but this was exclusively for, and voted by, members of Habbox Staff. Combining awards for staff and the Habbox public is something I don't think we should do, I think Habbox Staff awards should run separately to any kind of public awards ceremony, but that doesn't necessarily mean the public can't get involved. We will certainly look into it but it's something that will come nearer Christmas for sure.
