Hi, I bought an any sim iPhone today from the Apple store. What network should I go for? I am currently on O2 with my current 3GS but It's not that good really... Any advice would be great! :P

O2
Orange
T-Mobile & 3

Were the networks I think?? Thanks in advance!

3 isn't really that good from what I have heard and been told. If anything you should go with O2 or T-Mobile, then again T-Mobile will be merging with Orange and it's suppose to be a great network then. :P

I'd go with T-Mobile or Orange at the moment, when they merge they'll literally be the biggest mobile company, with the biggest and most reliable networks.

When you go out of T-Mobile coverage you'll be able to switch to Orange and vice-versa.

Orange do a good iphone sim only. click HERE (http://shop.orange.co.uk/iphone/choose-sim-only-plan) to see it.
As for Orange's acquisition of T-mobile, they only gained a customer database. As for t-mobile they're a good network but they normally just piggy-backed signal, where as the big three (orange, voda and o2) have their own signals.

T-mobile or Orange is your best bet in my opinion. Orange have the best 3G signal range of the UK.

Wat. Most of that post is wrong. T-Mobile have their own network, how should I know? I have family who work for them. Virgin actually piggyback from T-Mobile's network. 3 and T-Mobile are also in an agreement to share each other's 3G networks. They may have "only gained a customer database" but much of the firms' departments will be merged also through their new parent company, "Everything Everywhere" and both Orange and T-Mobile customers are going to see changes for the better in network performance and coverage, possibly even support, pricing and customer services.

Oh and also, at the moment (but not for long), 3 have the largest 3G network, not Orange. ;)

I was thinking about T-Mobile I just can't see any SIM ONLY things on their website. I will go into town tomorrow and have a look. Thanks everyone, you have all been a big help :P +REP to you all :)

Thread can be closed now as my question is answered xD

Doesn't look as if they do SIM-only and provide a microsim, but either way you can cut the normal SIM card they send you down the Micro SIM size and it'll work :P

Tesco Mobile is awesome. £10 a month unlimited contract, cheap handsets and excellent signal.

It was just my opinion. And I was informed that three were actually given into trouble for misleading - saying their 3g network is the largest in the UK.
Whatever you feel, I was just stating my opinion but thanks for telling me where I went wrong :)!

Might I add that T-mobile do micro sims, if you have a normal sim you can request a micro sim from a t-mobile stole and call up and connect your new sim.
They do micro sims as they'll be releasing a small amount of iphone fours. Recursion didn't your family tell you... haha just jesting :)!!

I've been on Orange (not for iPhone) and they're pretty good in terms of customer service and phone signal, not sure on 3G but as people say with T-Mobile, they are gonna get bigger and better.

Then again, wasn't O2 gonna merge with somebody, or was that T-Mobile? :P Regardless, I'm on O2 for iPhone 3GS and I can't really complain about the signal, I have a dropped call once every blue moon but other than that they're pretty good.

Vodafone have the best coverage, no idea about packages though!

Vodafone have the best 2G coverage of the UK, meaning calls texts and email signal. Not high-speed internet.
