Some HxL-HxF ideas

The thing is, all habbox sites have to work together even if the managers don't like it. Each site needs to promote the other e.g. HxL promote HxF/hx.com and HxF promote HxL/hx.com and the main site promotes everything.

To promote HxL you can easily create a new forum for HxL which redirects to the site so its more visible - possibly under the "Habbox" or "Community" category. If anyone says "no they don't want any more forums" is a load of ********, one forum to help a different department does no harm. Number of clicks can be checked and if no one is clicking it, you can remove it after a month. However, if it helps HxL then great. No harm in trying these things.

I realise these is a radio player at the bottom - but how many people look down there? Everyone sees the top (see the arrows).
So why not put something like "HabboxLive! Tune in. Current Song: AMAZING SONG"
1) It makes HabboxLive more visible on the forum and therefore might get more listeners
2) If people see a song they like currently being played, they might just click "Listen" to listen to it.

Another idea is to edit the Music forum dept to mention HxL.

I don't like the idea of a redirect forum for hxl - we have the link at the top which is way clearer than any forum would be.

I don't like the idea of where you have pointed out, however I think we could have the current songs playing & the listeners stats scrolling along the bar at the very top of the forum - you know where you once suggested we should advertise from, I think that'd look pretty cool.

There are more chances of people clicking a forum than the current one. You haven't stated why you don't like the redirect idea though.

Perhaps have a Habbo radio alteration and you click it and it goes to HabboxLive or something? In the blue spaces. And I quite like the idea of a forum, just test it for a month and see how many hits it gets, if it's not much then scrap it.

The thing with a forum is we are rapidly running out of space, it's getting longer and longer and on Sunday another new forum will be visible for the Welcome Committee scheme - we simply cannot keep adding new forums as it'll end up endless as it already has.

If the point is saving space then adding new forums isn't saving space at all its removing old ones in the place for new ones. I think it's about time the index of hxf halved and thats what I've started drawing up plans for as the main criticism we get is our index.

Also merge health and relationships with education and employment and rename it to Teen Stuff or something.

I suggested all this in a long thread, every suggestion got rejected with a simple no.

First the managers moan its too long but when we suggest how to reduce it, they just say no :S.

I dont see what the deal is with the main section, i could understand not using new posts a while ago coz there was 15 seconds between each search, but now there isnt so like whats the point in the index. I havent ever gone there except to go to usercp coz of the stupid new posts navbar.

I don't think a redirect thread under Community would hurt. That being said, if I ever want to listen to HxL, I type it in myself, dunno why, just habit. I'm not really a fan of shortening the forum down, I think it's fine as it is so adding more forums wouldn't really bother me.

Yeah its only really one additional forum and can be tested to see how many clicks it receives.

Personally I think the scrolling song idea is a pretty good one, but, this has nothing to do with promotion of HxL, I don't listen to HxL because it seems so unprofessional, the DJs sometimes sit there thinking about what to say, or finding a song or even talking over songs. The DJs need to be more energetic too! That's why ThinkHabbo's radio was so awesome.

I think it is a good idea myself, i often get asked by people on Habbo is Habbox/HabboxLive/HabboxForum are all Habbox sites, or if they just have similar names. I think this is because there isn't much on HabboxLive and HabboxForum that link back to Habbox.com or the other site. There are quite a few spots on Habbox.com that can navigate you towards HabboxForum and HabboxLive and this is probably due to that fact that Habbox was the most popular site and when HxL and HxF opened they put loads of advertising on Habbox.com to get people to use the other sites. But then there was no need to put anything about Habbox or HabboxForum on Habboxlive.com (or vice versa) But i really think there is now, as HxF and HxL are popular sites in themselves now.
