Hey,

So I'm 16, yet my parents cant get a contract because of credit problems...
Anyway, I went onto the orange website and ordered myself a contract, having to put my birth year as "1992" (really is "1994")

So my question is, why should you need to be 18 to get a 30 day rolling contract if you're able to keep up with the payments like me? I mean £20 a month isnt alot for me.

Just need to wait til saturday (21st aug) for my sim to come :)

What are your views on contracts ect..?

Lew.

What you are doing is illegal.

They check your DOB against the card you using, that's why I had to put it all in my parents name!

Because it's a legally binding contract, which you cannot sign until you are 18. Good luck with that contract, they'll be doing credit checks and all sorts against a fake DOB.

On the subject of DOB checks;
Do paypal do them? LOLNah they don't, although you can't really pay off contracts with Paypal accounts or do much important as a result. No DOB or credit checks.

Paypal don't. I'm pretty sure what you're doing is fraud.

Been checking around on this.

Apparently it can damage your credit score for when you actually turn 18 and it could cause serious implications for either you or your parents by being charged for fraud under the law.

I agree, contract ages should be lowered to 16, but untill then what your doing is fraud :L

I think he clearly has better things to do than reply to his thread :P You can get pretty good PAYG bundles at that sort of price, especially if you're not looking for a new phone.

Pay and Go would be a better bet. Would be interesting to see what happens afterwards, seeing as this is fraud :P
