Sledgehammer Games is currently at work on Call Of Duty 8, which is due to arrive next year. And a Twitter post from a studio exec has teased the very first details of what we can expect.
Studio co-founder Glen Schofield has leaked that the next Call of Duty game will feature situations encountered by real military soldiers - or at least inspired by them.
"Working w/ military guys- their stories will blow you away. Names/locations will change but some situations going in the game- real stuff!" he Tweeted today.

I want MW3 for the story aspect, although I hope it's longer than the 4 hours it took me to complete MW2
Oh god. Why bring one out every year! I think they should hold off for a year

It will probably also have a £150 box of rubbish for a special edition.

Call of Duty has been released every year since the Xbox came out... why change it?
There will be two games out next year, MW3 and this thing.

unless mw3 is delayed
if mw3 isnt delayed then i shall not buy the one from sledgehammer
also @whoever didnt know how mw3 story will be, are you being sarcastic? Its obvious america will go to russia and price+soap+nikolai will go to kill makarov + clear their names. My bet is price or soap dies.

For the reason of overdoing things. It's like bringing a new FIFA game out every year. There's just no point. Leave it a year, and update it in a big way
Nothing big. Medal of honour is basically that tbh

If it's over-priced like all cod games, then it's a big nono from me

I'm gonna try out the Sledgehammer Games one, but I'll probably rent it first
The Modern Warfare story is IW's. The IW branch in Activision died. I can't see MW3 coming out.

it was technically confirmed, activision mentioned it in court.

I can. One reason: money.
MW brand sells. A lot.

How the **** can you compare this to bringing out a new Fifa every year? There's a reason they bring out a new Fifa every year - players change teams, teams change leagues, kits change, and the game is just all-round improved.

Everyone will disagree with me, but they should make a CoD in the future, like 10 years in the future. Like a WW3 one ;)

mw2 is basically what you just described. except its more like 5/6 years

the teams can be updated every year. Im on about the gameplay. nothing changes. Well at least nothing great. It'd make more sense to do it every two years and just update the teams every season. but they wont, because people will pay for anything. even just a small thing like being able to take free kicks quickly

well in all fairness now, black ops is nothing like mw2 really. I can see cod4-waw-somewhat mw2 (alot of aspects changed but generally similar) but black ops will be alot different imo.

i know what youre saying. But im sticking by my reasons. Its the same with anything; big brother, COD, fifa. A years gap and theyd interest me far more.

I can see what you mean. Look at Halo, three years between each "main" game and everyone's salivating over Reach coming out. I think with the Call Of Duty series, it's more like after about six months you sort of get bored because you used everything, and after you've completed the campaign on Veteran there's not much re playability in them, whereas in Halo I find myself playing the campaign over and over again.

urgg halo :P Dont like the plot nor the fact i cant ads :P Just my opinion
anywho i think in the end it does just depend on personal opinion, I like a new cod every year purely cos it means its one year closer to mw3 :D Yes im wanting it so much.

I think 2 years is a bit long to wait for another Fifa but I agree CoD should be 2 years, especially when they're £45 per game.
