Why would you get a new laptop, then get a Mac in september? Just get a Macbook Pro now or in september?

What's the point? Once you get your Mac you will never want to use your windows laptop. I even prefer my 13" MBP over my desktop with 3 monitors with 54" of screen space, and that's saying something.

If you do still want both though, ask your dad to ask jeeves.

dont need to say it, its the way you put your first post.

if your just going to use it at home and crappy stuff, get a cheap one? you can get a good one for £300, but yeah, you could dual boot XP or 7 onto the mac?

To be honest getting two laptops in the space of a month seems stupid (baring in mind you will only ever use one a a time..) May I ask how old you are?

Also if I showed you a £700 Acer would you change your mind about them being crap? :\

Do you really think he'll know how to dual boot xp or 7 onto the mac if he hasn't even got the intelligence to just go for one laptop instead of two?

Point Proved. Just wait a month, put up with your crappy one. when you get a mac, research how to dual boot, save the £700 for xmas, or something else you want. Something better then wasting it on something you will never use once you get a mac

So your 16, probably do not know the first thing about computers, yet you want two in the space of a month?

And the fact you would consider a 'crap' make of laptop JUST because it is expensie is ludicrous. I should point out you are not going to make many friends by trying to act as if you are richer than Bill Gates.

What mac were you looking to get anyway (I know pro, I mean what model..)

Dell's specs are just fine, I don't know what the hell you're on about when you say they're crap. Apple are extremely overpriced, don't even go there. You WILL find that Dell use all the newest technology, which Apple are usually two years behind on. That Core2Duo that MacBook has is coming up to at least 3 years old, possibly 4.

Lmao, how can you say Dells have bad spec then want an Apple laptop? Apple laptops are the most massively overpriced and under-specced machines ever. Also why would you get a Macbook when a Macbook Pro is only £150 more?

I never said they were good - I dislike them. However he said if it was £700 not £300 then he would get it.

I cannot see how you can possible say you are getting a Mac, and then say Dell has rubbish specs?

Do this. Mac has a built in wizard to install Windows along-side Mac very easily, "Boot Camp Assistant". Just run the program, pop in the windows disk, reboot & install. Done.

Then you have your Windows laptop & Mac laptop all-in-one!
