I think for HxSS there should be a user group members can join where if you are a member of a certain user group you et exclusive access to your teams forum? I think this would generate discussion inside each team, so the teams would be more like a community.

You should only be allowed to join one of the teams user groups, and the exclusive forum would obviously be under he HxSS section. If you joined the red team, you would not then be able to change and join the green team for example.

Thoughts?

There are permission groups that people join but they don't link to any secret forums when you sign up.

Yeah they're here (GREEN TEAM FTW btw). Maybe there could be more done on the forum but it's a very Habbo-centric event tbh and it'd be a shame to take the focus off that.

Last year we had team specific forums and they were never used I don't think they are needed tbh :P

They were hardly used last year and it's a shame to create forums that are put to waste. Therefore we decided not to add these forums and just have the normal general ones where any of the teams are able to create threads, reply and what not while keeping up with the latest updates of the events.
