Shameless actor Elliott Tittensor has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly running down an 18-year-old man with his car.
The 20-year-old actor, who plays Carl Gallagher in the Channel 4 series, is alleged to have deliberately struck the teenager before driving off in his BMW Z4 without stopping.
Tittensor gave himself up to police a little over an hour after the incident and is said to have passed a breath test.

A police spokesman confirmed that Tittensor had been arrested over the incident but no charges had been made.

The spokesman added that the actor had been bailed until mid-September pending a police investigation.
The crash happened at 2am yesterday as Tittensor and his girlfriend Kaya Scodelario, who plays Effy Stonem in the E4 TV series Skins, visited a McDonald's in Kentish Town, north-west London.
Trouble started when the unnamed 18-year-old recognised Tittensor and tried to begin a conversation with him - following him from inside the fast food outlet and out onto the street.
The teenager then allegedly stood in front of Tittensor's car and would not get out of the way.

If the person was blocking him, he deserved what happened.

True - he may just have nudged but attempted murder is a pretty serious charge for that?

You have to remember there hasn't been a trial yet has there?

So I assume, unless CCTV shows this guy getting knocked over properly, that it is just the other guys word against his?

You're a terrible person for using that pun.

Will have to see if its an actual run over or just an attempt to get a bit famous

if it was the persons attempt to get famous he'd release his name instead of 'an unnamed person'? :P

Who ever gave the Tittensor twins jobs?! Both a pair of thugs.

Isn't he the one that has trouble keeping his clothes on? He'll just be done for causing harm with intent and the other guy would be done for harassment. No biggy, next case :P

Yeah his twin ended up losing his job on Emmerdale. I'd have to say I'd be surprised because he doesn't seem the type but perhaps he was pushed a bit too far, I've no idea. It'd be a shame because he does have quite a nice bum :D

Inseriousity.

Ok if that is the picture in the sun then the Tittenson guy did do wrong, although it might teach with other guy to leave people alone and not harass them.

Yesterday he sent a message to fans on his Twitter page saying: "It's an ongoing investigation for a reason."

Pah, way to make yourself look guilty :P Literally no shame when he says that.

If he goes to prison the only Gallagher child left in the show who can actually speak will be Liam (unless of course they cast Luke). Crap.

http://twitter.com/ETITTENSOR

Although searching for that on Google, and you get the following tweet:

Please don't believe the papers people, it's an ongoing investigation for a reason. But we all know how the papers love to put people down.

The Sun have done it again, missed out information! What he said isn't as bad as the original quote in The Sun, even though there is still little (or lack of) remorse.

Lol Scott I like how you call him Carl ;)

Seems to me there's much more to this story - Carl and Kaya both seem adamant about that.

He is kinda fit though.

He does seem like the sort of guy who would get fitted up for such a crime though but I guess we'll wait and see. The Twins' parents must be thrilled. Tell you what though, if he goes to prison... can you imagine? They'd be on him like hobos on a sandwich.

A little Z4 is not going to do much damage even if he did floor it. Assuming the guy was about a meter in front of the car and Elliott did floor it which I highly doubt, the guy would of just been nudged away. Attempted murder seems way to serious.
