Young teengers - increased of sexual messages across media ect.

Hey all, I dont usually post on these forums these days, however after watching on BBC 3 a programme called 'Baby Beauty Queens'

I thought of questions of

1. Are teenagers are getting a lot of sexual messages across the media such as TV shows/films/magazines/music videos ect?

The only reason I asked was is that the above programme is about a girl called Sophie Watson who is a 12/13 year old child doing beauty pageants in the UK and a trip to america.

As far I was concerned, I thought it was abit perv'ish as there were girls young as 5-16 year olds doing the pageants in short dresses and stuff. Anyways. What really caught my eye was when I looked up on Sophie Watson on facebook

Nope, but then again I only linking straight to facebook with photos, rather than straight to the images. If facebook removed them, the links wont be accessible. Her facebook is 100% open to the public but thanks for your concern.

I seen girls 15 years old who have tattoos, nothing new. However I never seen a 13 year old girl have one so this might be a real or a fake.

I always wanted to be a pageant princess.
that's just too far.
for example, this past year i did the local fair pageant and placed in the top 10 etc.
i think those kinds of things are harmless and actually that pageant taught me some life skills such as preparing a speech, doing an interview, dressing nicely.
but these pageants where girls are paying $2000+ to enter is ridiculous and is doing nothing for them. it's teaching them to be ***** at a young age (though it does make for good tv)
imo the media is extremely sexual and ridiculously focused on making every teen in the world want to have sex. they include kissing/makeout scenes in nearly any movie or show you watch. most of them include sexual jokes and/or references....more than once. i can't even watch tv with my family because of how disgusting it is. it makes me feel extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. i often leave the room tbh because its just too much.
