Yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyo wazzup in the hiz-house?
Bit far-fetched, I know.
Ok so I've been trying to drink like a pint of milk everyday (not like all at once though) and I'm wondering is there any point?
Like is there any benefit from doing that?
Any info and or advice on the correct intake on dairy products.
Thanks much,
Aled
I imagine the calcium will help, it cant exactly be doing anything bad for you. I try and drink atleast a glass a day, dont think we can afford a pint a day :p.
You'll probably put on some weight (especially if it's full fat milk).
I'd definitely say there's no negatives to it, but not really that much benefit. I probably consume about a pint's worth of milk every day just because I like it.
Try going to the site mypyramid they have a lot of info. Google it. You don't have to drink milk all the time though, cheese is also good.

it's better than coke & fizzy drinks i suppose but you will certainly put on weight if it's full fat

I don't drink water at meals or anything (unless I'm at a restaurant of course) although I do whenever I'm doing anything physical, like playing a sport :P

I actually love semi-skimmed milk. I drink 2+ pints a day without fail.
yeah milk is good brah
briefly, calcium and high in vitamin B (which helps your body absorb caclium)
studies show that drinking the rda of calcium or above will help you gain your highest potential height
also good source of protein, if you go in depth milk contains casein which is a group of amino acids that causes an anti-catabolic effect (slows digest and breakdown of cells making it easier to increase muscle tissue)
thats why people usually say drink a glass of milk before you go to bed because it helps you to recover in the night
perfect drink for most athletes
Drinking a lot of milk is bad for you.
Define alot
A pint is fine and you will only see benefits

What sort of milk does everyone here drink? ie; full fat, semi-skimmed etc...
most of its all good
i drink skimmed when im on a cut
but the full fat stuff isnt that bad has poly-unsaturates rather than saturated crap

I rephrase what I just said.
Milk is generally bad for you.

Everything seems to be bad for you these days, if someone enjoys it then who cares. :P

a pint isnt a bad amount, but too much milk is bad for you. the body can only absorb so much calcium at once, but it can always absorb fat.
it depends on the type of milk as well. try to stay away from drinking too much whole.
and you should drink LOTS of water every day, whether you like it or not lol. i mean its virtually tasteless, cant be that hard to drink. i probably drink at the very least a gallon of straight water every day, it has nothing but benefits.

Thats not actually true :P, you shouldn't drink more water then you actually need to drink, I believe the medical term is Water Intoxication basically meaning a persons brain will swell so it's not able to carry out functions which is should be able to. It's recommended that you drink 2 litres a day.

that only happens if you drink it all at once, aka extremely hard to do. you literally would have to be drinking water nonstop for at least a good 15 minutes for that to occur. but if you drink water fairly evenly throughout the day, there's no such thing as too much water.
lol at all the broscience
basically the health benefits outweigh any side effect
therefore drink but don't exceed 1L unless u on dat GOMAD
I'm nearly 18 and I'm short, I drink milk daily, why am I not tall yet?

unfortunately only a MAXIMUM of about 5 inches of your height is dependent on your diet, the rest is pure genetics. i drank soooo much milk the first 15 or 16 years of my life, im average height.

true (if you dont brush afterwords). sounds weird cause calcium is supposed to be good for your bones, but the fat and all the other stuff in it totally is terrible for teeth and outweighs anything that calcium would do. and now that i think about it, i dont think your teeth can just absorb calcium anyway lol, it probably has to go through your body.
