Not sure if anyone watched this but i saw half on bbc3 yday night

Basically some girl dancing on YouTube to Japanese Pop got famous in Japan

I think she really took life for granted and misunderstood when 35-45 year old men were watching her videos and that was something like 70% of her viewing population.

Then when it woz her birthday some fan in Japan sent a like £300 Bass Guitar :S

It's a good watch actually but if anyone watched it kl.

i seen this, i was pretty shocked when i seen her before about 8 months ago i seen the actual video on youtube lol

on the documentry, she insisted she wasn't stuck up about being famous & getting the money but you could clearly see she was... her blunt answers and cocky smile gave it away

& i was telling my mum it's a little unfair - there are all these good dancers on the net and only she gets chosen... she was very lucky and in the right place at the right time

I watched it, I thought her dance was very simple, anyone could of done that. I don't think her Japanese fame will last forever, she will get older and the men watching will lose interest.

There was only 1% of Boys 13-17 of I'm correct. About 70% were in the late thirdties although her mum didn't seem to care. Plus her dad is a police man and didn't do anything.

If you actually watch the dances she is imitating you'll see she gets pretty much everything absolutely spot on. That is probably the reason she was noticed above all others, along with her resemblance to anime characters. I can imagine some of those dances being very hard to complete all the way through with mininal mistakes like she did. I didn't really care for Beckii though. I felt she was a little rude to her 'biggest fan' by saying she didn't want to talk about him. I felt so sorry for Gemma though, she was clearly shaken after seeing the demographics of her fans. Her expression during that part of the documentary was so sad. I just wanted to cry for the poor girl. :P Also, Beckii's dad was a lot more open to that whole thing than I thought he would be. When I saw him I just thought he was going to be really skeptical, but it was pretty much the opposite. Anyway, not the best documentary but a good watch nevertheless.

DANJO! It was pretty good, although I lost track of who was who and doing what at one point.

As for the number one fan sending food and guitars etc. I think the parents needed to be a lot more wary. You would think you knew a person until the worst happened... someone who can't support their own life yet sends expensive instruments to 15 year olds is someone you need to keep an eye on.

The YouTube demographic wasn't surprising. As for the mum, there are really no genuine 40 year olds wanting to learn the dance...

Yeah but that's just fame really. Not everyone gets in, even if they are... crap.

It was ok. Slightly weird. I felt so sorry for the other girl who was like "Most of the boy's watching me are men -insert crying face here- I was like aww :'(

Yeh she seems so sweet and innocent but as soon as the woman asking the questions she didn't like she was just like ''I don't want to talk about that''. They're making a documentary about you, the least you could do is talk about what the fans are like :s and when her mum brought that box of noodles into her room she seemed so over joyed and pleased someone had done that for her. She seemed down to earth at school but at home she didn't really seem it, her dad seems to be a right gold digger and wants to make the most money he can out of it/his daughter which I thought was really bad.
