Suggestions for new types of awards.
1) Arcade Highscore Award - Awarded to any who hold an arcade high score. Must be at least 1 week from a score reset and must hold the record for at least 48 hours.
2) Referrals Award - Make this graduated like posting. 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 (or perhaps 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100)
Arcade highscores should not be retroactive, referrals should be.
Pretty simple :)

I like the arcade high score one, but if the user got a name change, it doesn't change in the arcade for the high score, so it might get confusing.

Well, the arcade high score thing wouldn't be taken away if you don't have a high score anymore, that'd be too high maintenance. You'd just get it if you ever held a high score for 48 hours more than 7 days after scores are reset.
The name only needs to be the same to prove the accomplishment when requesting the award, after that you have the award.

I am not a fan of resetting scores.
However, I am in support of the referral award suggestion.

Don't see why not, it wont take long to create them.
Plus may help make others invite to the forum more :)

I really like both of those ideas, especially the referrals one which may encourage people to get other people to sign up to the forum.

I know what you mean, I'm not really either. My suggestion is made with the understanding that Forum Management planned to reset scores anyway, if they don't then the part about 7 days from a score reset isn't necessary.

i like both of those ideas, however the amount should be lowered drastically. like 1, 5, 8, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50

Maybe forum management can give us the best idea for what numbers would be best, as there's a list in ACP of all the referrals so they can tell what would be the best numbers to make the highest two hard to get while making the first 2-3 reachable.

I like the idea of resetting high scores. Gives others a chance tbh
I like these both ideas alot but I'm not a fan of resetting the scores. I only have one so I'm not losing much but some people are gonna lose loads.

Err I should clarify that I'm not suggesting resetting scores. After coming back from a while away from the forum and finding scores had been reset I thought it was a normal management policy. This thread is just about the awards. If people are fans of resetting scores I'd start a new thread simply on the issue of whether or not to reset scores. Discussing that in conjunction with the new awards would be a little confusing. This thread is just about the new awards :)
I'll talk to Oli about the possibility of these new awards when he comes online, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't have them though :).

I'm always looking for new award ideas and here I think we have two very good examples which I will add to my list and look into, thanks nvr :)
In terms of resetting scores, just to clarify that when this happened it was because the forum had gone a large amount of time without the arcade after the vB4 therefore when we introduced it again we reset the scores, this was only a few months ago so it won't happen again for a good while.
