well i know that not all phones are capable of this, but ones such as mine are!
what is your signature on your phone?
or if you don't have that capability/don't have a phone, what would you make yours?

for example, for summer a lot of my friends put ~SuMmEr 2010 :)~ etc.
mine past three were [Usee;Yourr;Lovee<3] , [Andd;You'dd;Sayy<3] and now it's [savee*yourr*heartt<3]
its a big thing around here, however i noticed many people don't do it!

Mine says regards then my name for email, why would I put one for texts?

Didn't realise it was possible with text messaging, just checked and the feature is there.

Frankly I can't think of something more irritating and a better way to waste characters. I mean it'd be okay occasionally if you text someone asking them to come out, but it'd be a nightmare if you were texting someone a lot.

Saying that though it would be pretty hilarious to add
"Sent from Jordan's phone" to the bottom of text messages.

Signatures tend to annoy me too, unless they're short like a <3 or :) or something.
