I stood on a bit of glass and it went into my skin, the wound healed over but the glass is there. It is a small bit of glass so yeah, what do I do. I have a huge phobia of needles and blood.

Go get the doctor to slice your skin open with a massive needle, letting out **** loads of blood to get the glass out :)

Alternatively, I could soak my foot and get it out myself with a needle.

The glass is not visible. The wound has been sealed over. I think its forming a scab over it, its so small. I cant even see the glass.

You should really go to the doctors then and not risk getting it infected.

I have a huge phobia of the hospital due to previous experiences with family. I literally faint when I get inside.

Either that or risk the further need for needles? :L but dont leave it, just do it otherwise it could get worse and ull have to go then for sure so its either now or delay it.

I don't think this is really a home job, you need to have a little incision to get to the glass so you should at least talk to a GP or something.
In fact, give NHS Direct a call: 0845 4647

Dig deeper with the needle, otherwise itll get infected and then god knows what they will do to you in the hospital.

Yeah but the hospital is far away, I'll need my dad to give me a lift there and wait for like 4-5 hours until i actually get seen. We're moving house and my dad is working almost everyday, I have to help with moving stuff too so I havent got time at the moment.
Actually, I'd advise you to seek medical help. If you managed to get it out yourself there would be bare flesh exposed which is a high infection risk.
This doesn't sound healthy. You should really go to the hospital or something asap even though you don't like them, you must go to a doctor or maybe call a nurse to your house?
So you've shot down every idea people have proposed, whether it be one of your phobias, or the hospital being too far away, so why dont you suck it up and do it yourself, or stop complaining because it seems nothing anybody on here says is going to work for you.

Get someone to take it out for you with tweezers or go to a doctor

sorry if this is a bump, but i had glass thrown into my lip by a "nice" person. went to hospital, got the xray and it was numbed so you cant feel anything, they're do that to any part of the body and then just close your eyes and it'll be fine lol

I would suggest you go to the doctors if you leave it, it will only get worse and may get infected and could make it hurt ect I suggest you go to the doctors sooner rather than later! good luck

Man up and just go. You will get an infection under the skin - trust me.

You need to get it out straight away and use a disinfectant to clean the wound afterwards - my Great Grandmother had something similar where she picked at her big toe with a pin/needle, got infected and she ended up losing her toe.
