see that big box thingy lol its like a giant usb but its not that i dnt think its some other weird looking shape thing, I have one socket for it in the back of my tv for the upc (virgin in the uk) but theres only one socket, so I was wondering if there was some device where u can put the both of them in the same socket.
Sorry if this does make sense lol

The other ends go into your TV, the "big box thing" goes into an Xbox.

Are you mistaking the xbox connector with a scart connector?

You're all wrong, the cable in the picture he posted is a HD AV Cable.

Dont ya be trolling, da rolling trolololol.Such juvenile tactics to get a reaction out of me won't work. Bottom line is you were wrong to accuse others of being wrong so deal with it and sit there in your 'wrongness' ;)

Next time, maybe Matt could PM me if there was such a problem, but I gave him a rep+ with sorry across it.
Funny thing is, you keep going on about it. One post was enough, but thanks for your concerns.

You can get scart splitters pretty cheap, most require you to turn off everything but the device you want (else you'll get a blurry mess on your screen).
If you want to plug your xbox in with the cable you showed you will need an AV (red/white/yellow plugs) to Scart adapter (they're really cheap, you should have a grey one with your xbox if you got it new).

You cant get the to work at the same time, the port can only recieve one image at a time.
You can can an switcher though, like this:

But you have to use a controller or switch to choose between which scart you want to use

Not if you only have 1 scart port, its like 2 keys trying to fit into one hole. Not gunna happen

so it would be pointless for me to buy one of those multi adapters?

Well no, because just say you have 5 devices - they call all be plugged in at once. I used to use one on my old TV where there was only one scart socket available so I could have the xbox and such all attached at once.

The idea is: you plug lots of scart devices in, then when you want to switch to it, turn the rest off.

I think you can get some with switches on, but what I meant was turn everything else off.

The splitters with switches don't require the other devices to be switched off, all you have to do is push the switch for the device you want to use.
e.g. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=43158 - if you want to use the device plugged into the top port, then you push the top button. etc.
