Not a good start to the season for Roy Hodgson & Liverpool considering what happened against Arsenal.

I think the result was somewhat flattering for City.

Liverpool were Rubbish. City weren't anything special. I think Arsenal, Chelsea and United can all beat City.
Mascherano was extreamly missed, and Liverpool wont be able to replace him.
Without Mascherano, Liverpool wouldn't have even got a draw against us.

Same. I support City but I don't think they were that special tonight. Liverpool were seriously awful though.
Liverpool have some very poor players at the moment, they definately need a better second striker :P
Liverpool definately need to keep hold of Mascherano, he is one of the key players alongside Stevie G in the centre of the field.
Nice win for City should at least finish in a european place this year & then possibly next year go for the title - if the players fully gel.

A top 8 side beating a top 10 side, nothing too exciting.

Mascherano is good but he is replaceable.

Mascherano is good but he is replaceable.
No he isn't imo.
There's only 2 players close to his level. 3 if you inlude Essien.
He's replaceable but they wont find anyone as good. It showed today just how important he is.

Essien has so much more to his game. Mascherano is essentially a ball winner, a good one yes but he isn't irreplaceable. It only showed tonight because Lucas was playing instead of him.

Yeah I know, that's why I said if you include Essien as really he's not a DM, more of a CM.

IMO Essien is the complete player. Put him
In any position and he'd put a good shift in.
