Due to recent casualties suffered during the events of Quiet Before the Swarm (http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/quiet_before_the_swarm_members) and A Void Dance (http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/a_void_dance_members), the Void Knights have an urgent need for new commanders to lead them into battle. Such is their need that even the un-enlisted, such as yourself, are welcome to take part in their Conquest training program.
Conquest (http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/conquest) puts you in command of a squad of Void Knights in a turn-based, player-vs-player, tactical war game. Every budding commander begins with an equal number of resources with which to build their squad – choose your troops and set their starting formation, then pick a number of game-changing special Commands to help turn the battle in your favour.
With the composition of your squad decided, lead it into battle against other commanders to prove your leadership skills. Conquer your opponents and you will make your mark on the high score table and earn Commendations, which you can trade in for combat skill experience and Void Knight equipment. There’s even a new Void Knight shield (http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/conquest#rewards) called the deflector, which is unique to Conquest. As you only need to wear three pieces of Void armour and one of the helms to get the set effect, this new shield gives you more options to mix and match your Void Knight gear.

In other news...
As there are now two activities that can award you with Commendations, we have doubled how many you are able to hold on to from 250 to 500.
Thessalia in Varrock and Yrsa in Rellekka now have new clothing options for you to choose from.
You can now right-click the world map icon to remove your world marker without having to re-open the whole interface again.
We've added the ability for the assister to find out how long it is until they can next assist, as well as how much experience they've earned. Simply right-click the Assist tab below the chatbox.

Seems ermm, interesting. Not sure what it's going to be like yet but I'm already there along with lots of other people. :P

What do you think it'll be like?

Ive tried it and played my first ever match against someone decent, it was their second game at it, he lost his first. I was heavily outnumbered about halfway through but i came back in the end and won it. The entire activity is actually quite fun because you never know what your opponent will do next. The commendation reward is also quite good (40 commendation points is what i got in my first game)

If I'm honest I didn't understand it. I just played along and just hoped I win (when Aiden resigned to get to his farming run ;l). Do you have any tips? :)

Well the only tip i can provide is to keep your points for when u need them, and always check the health on the enemies troopers to see whats best to use to kill it. And if you can combine Battle Cry with Charge on a Champion, then he can single handidly kill about 3 or 4 enemies even the enemies champion in 1 hit.

Heres a screenshot I took (note image is quite big and couldnt crop due to it taken on fullscreen mode)

Also when i had taken that screenshot i was still in the battle which was down to his scout, he was being a chicken and running, but then i used my scout combined with both battlecry and charge to win the fight
