What is the most painful thing that has happened to you?

I suppose I have been quite lucky in my life (touch would) so the most pain I have probably ever been in is when I fell into a massive bush of nettles in shorts and t-shirt when I was about ten. I can still remember the pain, either that or when I had an abscess the size of a gold ball which I ended up shoving a fork into.

Most likely having a boom of a yacht knock me out into the sea and then come round to blood rushing out of my head, haaa. :(

erm i've been fortunate to not really have that many painful experiences, the two worst were probably the curler burn on my neck (OW OK) and being so sore a few weeks ago i could barely walk up and down the stairs, it hurt to move and i just didn't want to go anywhere or do anything. i ended up going shopping the day after LOL.

Probably when I had appendicitis and it didn't get diagnosed until the later stages, it was probably the most intensely painful experience of my life. It was crippling and it just got steadily worse and worse. The morphine was fun though.

actually probably somethin that happened to me like a month ago, i got a staph infection in my throat, my tonsils swelled up so huge and it was incredibly painful to swallow. i was like that for nearly a week, at first my mom thought it was a cold but after 2 days she brought me to the hospital, where they gave me strep medication because they thought thats what i had, but then a few days later tests showed it was a staph infection, so then they got me meds for it. it sucked so much trying to sleep, i kept a bucket by my bed, partially because the meds made me nauseous, but mostly because i preferred to just spit out my saliva buildup instead of just swallowing it. it was that bad. i still havent been able to gain all the weight back that i lost from basically not eating.

Leaned on a hob while it was on. It was ceramic, and when it's turned off it goes from red to black, but it had just been turned off a few seconds before.

My worst pain was when my cousin kicked a football into my ribs, I mean that hurt then but it was nothing compared to the pain I felt a few days later. My ribs were hurting so bad when I was coming home from school that I kinda just sat on the pavement (in the rain) and I refused to move. Then my mum had to carry me to house and put me in the kitchen while she got my duvet. I had to stay on my side because if I moved it was like someone was sticking a knife into my ribs.
And still to this day I have strange ribs, my left is what a normal rib should be and sticks out a bit, but my right rib has gone in and is lower down.
That time in my life sticks out cause I thought I was gonna die on the way home cause of the pain :'( I was in year 6 though so maybe I can handle worse now.

when i fractured my coccyx. i used to land on my back on the trampoline & my brother would jump on to the trampoline from the shed roof at the same time, making me bounce really high and i'd flip round. one time i went so far instead of landing on my back on the trampoline after the flip i fell on to the concrete behind :'( couldn't scream/laugh(my bro did)/cry. could hardly sit, lie down or get out of bed. was still sore for months after.

it doesn't even come close to period pains swear to god mine are so bad i don't get out of bed the first day or i'll just faint/throw up/cry all day, my abdomen and lower back feel like they're gonna explode. no-one said they were THAT bad but they are :'(

I've done my coccyx/tailbone in loads of times. The last time however was the worst, I actually broke it. It has to be one of the slowest healing parts of the body, even when I hadn't broke it it still took months before the pain went away. It hurts like a ***** too!

once apon a time when i was five, i was walking down a cobbled street with ma fam, and i tripped on a cobble, i fell and landed face first on broken glass, i split my face open from my lip to my cheekbone, so basically my mouth just had like a flap of skin on one side instead of a cheek (if you get what i mean).
it's been fourteen years and i can still remember the absolute agony.

Well umm, either when..

i kicked a curb full blast and shattered 3 toes;
my mate kicked my thumb really hard and broke it (WHO KICKS THUMBS!?);
i tried jumping across two rooftops, slipped, then smashed and chipped all my top teeth of the ledge followed by falling a good few metres;
when i caught this disease thing in india, and it hurt to walk, move or even breath and i had to stay in bed for like 2 days;

oh the pain.

Probably when I had about 8 teeth taken out in one go (yeah, SERIOUS!) or when I had my braces put in. :(

Thank god for morphine.

Did it leave a scar on your face?

Did it leave a scar on your face?

i have a scar that runs along the inside of my mouth cause they stitched me up from the inside (: i can feel it with my tongue.

the stitches they gave me first time (and i have nightmares about how they did - they got my dad and four male doctors to pin me down so they could put them in) fell out and my face bled so heavily i had to be ambulanced in for PROPER surgery.

Ouch sounds like a bad one. I guess you must be lucky to have no visible scarring. When I was about 5 my older brother was spinning me around by my legs and he got dizzy and lost balance resulting my head smacking the wooden corner of our sofa, there was blood everywhere and he didn't know what to do as my parents were out (he was babysitting). I have a tiny scar next to my eye but it's barely noticable so not really too bothered.

whats messed up about it is i probably got it from the dentist. less than 2 days before i got it i went to the dentist and i had this new lady who basically knifed all my gums. i could potentially sue, but id have to somehow prove i got it from them.

probably when I was in year 4, the school was under construction so lots of chalk was around and I slipped on that and scraped my head against the ground (not smooth either). Good thing it healed in a week or so, surprising considering how big it was.

my pain would be either when i had gastric flu as i was younger so it hurt and it was in curable. or when i had an operation to have 4 teeth out

EDIT: the most pain would have been the other month, a pre crown had been put in my mouth for my tooth and it was wobbly - it came out at like 2 am, i had to go back to get it re done, and eventually when the proper crown was in it was too big (still is a bit) and it grinded on my other tooth below it.

I'd have to say the time I was leaning on a door frame and my friend slammed the door. My pinky got chopped clean off... they managed to reattach it though. Typing would suck if they couldn't reattach it :\

About half of it. Horrible lolWe have a winner!

Despite breaking 13 bones in my life, I've never been in substantial pain thankfully. Getting crushed at a music festival though was pretty much unbearable, quite a lot worse than it sounds.

Appendicitis, I have had it twice and I just wanted to die. They wanted to remove it but I wouldn't let them. Luckily it hasn't returned and I hope to god it won't ever again.

I was smashing up wood with a big heavy duty mallet, and then there was a umbrellea sticking upwards that had been snapped in half so there was a sharp poll sticking upwards, and i slammed down the mallet on some wood and the spike went threw.. well inbertween my fingers quite deep . about a inch. into my hand. i think it would of hurt more if my adrenaline wasnt going. tbh it hurt the most when they put the glue into the whole
