When will this next take place? And will you ever prune accounts which have post counts yet haven't been logged into for a sufficient amount of time?

Personally, and I don't really know many of the pros or cons to purging or not purging I like the fact that old accounts are still floating around. Users like Ostinato or bigbuttsound might be gone but I just like the feeling that their accounts and old posts are still floating around. I guess to me it just makes Habbox feel more like Habbox :P

No, it should never be done.

I think it should be done for users that havent logged in, in like 2-3years+ and have less than say 10 posts. Lets be honest now, its highly unlikely they're gonna come back, and if they do they've likely forgotten their password or even username

The reason is people want certain names and those names evade the changes so they want those other accounts too :P

Account shouldn't be deleted if they have posts, they leave the ugly deleted post thing around, also some people log back in after yearss and many people didn't post that much around the forums though they were integral parts of it. There are points to the favor leaving those accounts and few points beyond username availability to deleting them (IMO, feel free to correct me if you see it otherwise), but based on that logic I'd say leave them.

I'm not willing for accounts with posts to be deleted and freed up for a number of reasons which does include, people from the past do come back now and then. Although there is a large number of users who have 0 posts without their email confirmed. Maybe this is something we could look into and clean up a little.

Not entireley true, a month ago a guy came into the help desk and hasn't logged into habboxforum for over 5 years and managed to remember his username and pass after a while.

Precisely - it does happen and therefore we are unwilling to delete accounts with any posts. They do get pruned by Jin during the New Year though, I think. Regarding user names the name change policy I introduced (which will be added to the revamped FAQ coming soon) does mean more names are available: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=651834&highlight=

Yer but when you think of the ratio of those who are gonna comeback and those who just obviously aren't, i think its a bit silly.

Also i want the name nemo ;l

Users who do not confirm their email are cleared out every so often, I'm not sure how often though but it is more than once a year. This is all that's gonna happen as far as I'm concerned (from what I've seen MG say in this very thread :P)

Wait till and if HxF still exists 10 years from now and see the amount of people whining about wanting accounts deleted ;p.
