Hey,
Would it be better if I got itunes to find the album name / artist / song for my mp3s, I currently have everything blank & just the file type the name or is itunes sometimes inncorrect? would it cause problems with the track name? for example 'example - kick stars' would be 'kick starts -'

im assuming youve downloaded all your songs from the interwebz, in which case you will have to type in all the song tags on itunes anyway. it only allows you to retrieve information if its from a cd or you bought it from itunes itself.
honestly i kinda hate itunes. the tagging problems are just terrible, it cant automatically do it for you and even if it could i wouldnt trust it. and even doing it manually is so frustrating, like for the longest time now i've had two separate artists of "daft punk." nothing will fix it, its spelt EXACTLY the same way on each song, has the same exact tags for everything, but for some reason like half of an album is in a separate "daft punk" artist space, so whenever i scroll through artists theres two artists called "daft punk" and it annoys me immensely. and dont even get me started on track order.

Download MP3Tag (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/) It's only ever got the tags wrong once for me :)

How can I do that? anytime I select 'tag sources' it asks for the album name but they are all different files

If they are all mixed up like Track 1 (In album 1) Track 1 (In album 2) etc and they have absolutely no tag data in them at all, then AFAIK the only way to do it is to re-rip them or do it manually :(
