Moving house on the 17th, I'm with Be and they need a BT line. Someone at the moment is living in the house and moving out the day we move in, there is already a BT line activated there I think. What do I do. These are the instructions Be gave me.

1. Before asking BT for a house move tell BT you require a SIM PROVIDE CODE FOR THE O2 GROUP (this is very important or you will end up getting a VOL code which BE will not accept mine started DFQ)

2. Ring BE and supply them with (A) The sim provide code. (B) the Telephone number and address of the new property. (C) The date which BT have given you that the new line will be activated.

3. Sit back and relax

If these steps are not done in the correct order especially number 1 then be prepared for a long wait as you will most likely end up losing your connection and have to wait around 14 days before getting a new BE connection.

Good luck hopefully if you follow the steps correctly your BE connection will work the day your new line gets connected.

I dont understand

I'm guessing you got that from the internet? I'd ring up Be directly and ask what to do, even if they give you the same information it'll get the ball rolling so to speak, you'll then want to ring BT and ask for that SIM Provide code for O2 (O2 owns Be) and start the ball rolling on getting BT to change to your new house and then just ring back Be, supply all the relevent information like that SIM Provide code, your account number, old address, new address, new phone number etc etc

You'll probably want to start sorting it out pretty soon so that you can use the service as soon as you move in.

I've not heard of this SIM code before, but I assume it's for your old house.

But my phone line is already with be*, I suppose it is ran through BT. So what I phone up and say can I have a sim code?

Yes ring BT for the SIM code, they handle the line.
