I currently have a HTC Hero which is great but, it's not really for me. I love how there's lots of apps but I don't think I really need them all to be honest and I'm more of a "social networker".

I'm really thinking about getting a Blackberry or something similar to it, but I'm not sure what.

If you could help me find some phones or a phone, then I'll be more than happy enough to +rep you for your time! :)

I'm sure many of you have some great phones, so shoot!

OK - Here is what I'd like in a phone...

Facebook, Twitter, MSN etc.
Either a keyboard that flips out or a QWERTY keyboard
I quite like the Blackberry "look a likes"
Ability to take photos!
Ability to text at fast speeds and the phone should be easy to use (I hope)

I was looking at a phone, the INQ Chat 3G, which looks really nice and something I'd use but, what do you think?

Any ideas :) And of course, +rep if you can help!

possibly because they're both htc phones:P
can you not delete apps that you don't want and download more of the social oriented ones, problem solved? not really bothered with them on my phone so don't know

No I really want something like a Blackberry or something with a real keyboard rather than the on screen.

I like this: http://www.inqmobile.com/lang/en/phones/inq-chat-3g/

But it may be too basic and I haven't really heard much about it. Something like that you know.

I heard NOKIA do ones, but I'd rather buy something that was gonna last me and would be decent.

The only phone that comes to mind is the x10 mini pro, but only because I know it has a QWERTY keyboard, the rest of the phone are probably far from what you want :P Are there any other Android phones out there with a physical keyboard? BlackBerry phones are okay... But they seem a bit of a waste, seeing as they're only really known to be good for business men and women, and lack any major benefits like app development.

This is what I'm thinking when it comes to Blackberry, hence why I quite like the INQ Chat 3G because it's inexpensive and has everything I probably need.

One thing that turns me away from it is the fact that I don't know anyone who's had one nor do I know the company that well.

And I don't really like the x10 mini pro :S

I think it's the way you have setup the phone really. If you want it all "social networks" then do so? You can have facebook apps/widgets, twitter and whatever else you may use on a daily basis.

I wouldn't go with BlackBerry to be honest, I'm not going to **** them off but shivers at them. I suppose the T-Mobile G2 will have a keyboard but then again it's Android OS.

If you want a qwerty for social networking an amazing screen and a good camera i would recommend the Sony Ericcson Vivaz Pro :)

Gosh no!

The Desire has a WVGA screen - much more real estate

The Desire sports over 512MB of ram and a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor

The Desire supports the latest of Android updates unrooted and will for many more years as it's sister N1 is the official Google developer phone.

Don't underestimate the difference Dean. I have to say I did too when I went from my G1 to the Nexus (a very similar move as going from the Hero to Desire would be) and I was absolutely shocked to see how much better the N1 is :)

Hmm. Between the size of the screen, word recognition and Swype you get used to the lack of keyboard!

I'm assuming you have already considered an iPhone? If the price puts you off then go for an older model, preferably the 3GS. You can get some bargains on ebay!

It too lacks a physical QWERTY keyboard, so there's no point in that either :P

Is the X10 Mini Pro only putting you off because of how small it is?
