any way to find out what it is? cause i dont want to upgrade and not be able to get whatever i pay for

I think the BT website offer a service like this, I just think you need to enter your home phone number or something like that. Might be worth you checking them out ;D

I'm spoilt for choice!

Our ISP say we can get up to 24 mb but we only get something like 5 :l

If you have more than 2mbs and it says you can only get that on BT. Are you on cable by any chance?

I'm on a 14mbps plan and I'm currently getting roughly 20mbps down.

I called my ISP and they told me the bottleneck remains at 14mbps.

I'm not going to argue with them :P

Btw is www.speedtest.net broken cause every time i test my speed i get something completely different to the one before :S

Well speedtest isn't what I call 100% reliable. Could you post one anyway?

You don't have to be with o2 Broadband but if you go to...

https://www.o2broadband.o2.co.uk/broadBandOverview.do

On the right hand side it says...

"Check availability
See what you can get."

This should tell you what you're able to get. (It works for me!)

i think that ones my favourite, sure as hell not paying for that. i seem to get anything from 8mb to that
im with virgin though, not telewest...
