I think it's quite nice to be fair, it's something very different and looks rather modern.

The rules seem to have disappeared though? :eusa_danc :P.. and it does look quite dark and gloomy, but I do think it's good. Might be an idea to hide the walls (VIP Setting) instead of just having a black wall.

Shame it's totally moved rooms too, I know a lot of people just go to the HxHD from their favourites list.

What do you think?

I quite like the modern style of the room - good job who ever designed it.
The mats actually look quite nice.
Matt - I don't think they should hide walls because then the skyscraper windows would disappear if I am not mistaken.

Love it to be quite honest xx

Don't like it but it has a gate! The petals don't match the room but without them, it's just a lot of norms put together and looks quite bland so IDK.

9y designed it btw

edit: yay hxhd has no rules everyone

and 3 normal staff

The monolith doesn't look nice with the black mats, get rid of it please because it encourages staff to use the staff entrance rather than be lazy and move in anyway. I thought the removal of it was for that reason and the fact that loads of people attempted to get in, 90% of the time succeeding because some staff weren't very fast in closing the gate!

It's different and I like how it's back to a different room which is smaller, but I don't like having to change my favourites. Don't like the pines, think the plant should stay the same all the way round. Overall, it's different but can't say it's super duper.

I agree with Alex get rid of the gate especially since the tele doesnt rotate but is still accessable so people could easily gain access :)

Don't it look familiar
and i also know that this design is a helpdesk on www.habbo.de :)
But it still looks nice even if it is copied

lol it looks very futuristic, like something you'd expect to see on a sci-fi movie :P
I do like it though. :)

I think it's a great improvement on that larger room. It looks neater and more uniform than the last desk.

It's not traditional Habbox at all, other rooms reminded me of Habbox, this doesn't! However, saying that I do like it too, really chic.

It is regrettable having to relocate rooms, however I think those that regularly use the room will quickly be able to relocate the new room and to the newbie visitors it literally makes no difference. It isn't ideal but I don't think it's massively detrimental and obviously the old room will be changed to direct them to the new version.

The room is modelled on a room that was discovered on Habbo.de - to our knowledge there is no hugely popular room on Habbo.com that uses the same layout and as such I don't think it's terrible that we've decided to utilise a similar layout to something on a completely different hotel. The priority for us is that the room is functional and looks good and I think it does just that.

Regarding the monolith, I guess you make a fair point - I'll talk to Matt / David / Shar later and in the evening if it hasn't been done already I'll quickly do it tonight providing they don't have key reasons to have the monolith there.

Even still I think it's an excellent room. I prefer to have the walls to be honest as I hate it when it looks like the room is floating, I think as well that it gives the room a bit more atmosphere a bit like a night club lol.

Took a long time. I agree with the petals but they have to be there, theres nothing else to go with it..

The walls can be removed but then the windows would just show black, looks horid.

nice to see people are actually liking it.

I do agree with the gate . x

better than the bigger design

The mono will never be used. It's for decoration.

If there was no mono, it really would look stupid.

I don't like it, it doesn't look as good as the previous ones Iv'e seen.
It's okayish?

I don't think that the petals look silly, they help tie in the cola machine, pines and bonsais. Without the petals I think they would look random as well.

I love this.

I always have been a fan of modern designs (like in real life), so for my sense of design, this is brilliant.

Ah right, I didn't know the deal with hiding room walls :P

Monoliths are a pain in the behind to close too, so I agree that people would sneak in behind.. :)

Sorry for moving rooms again, it's always a bummer when you have to change your favorites and so on. Although that should be for the last time, we wanted to move into the normal sized rooms after the complaints in regards of the bigger V9 rooms causing lag for some of our users. This has now been solved, yay! Regarding the gate in the HxHD, I think you are all probably right and would be ideal to remove it and just put some more mats stacked upon that. I will try and get that arranged/sorted for sometime this night if possible!

Thanks for all of the comments either way!

It's ok... But personally I prefer :Jin: 's helpdesk, it gives more of that Habbox feel. The new one looks too much like an agency.

I really like it, it is different.

Only changes i would make is:

Remove the floor and walls, if you do this through the VIP setting the skyscraper landscape will disappear. BUT if you buy red floor and red walls and then buy a moodlight, set it on dark blue, it will make the walls disappear (like in the other HxHD Room). Rooms always look better when you can't see the base floor and walls.

It will, trust me. When there was the door in :Jin:'s HxHD Super Staff were always using the door instead of the entrance and every so often a member of public got in and now that it's a monolith and they're awkward to close I can see that number being quite high.

I think its nice and diffrent however theres not many rares, I think alot of people do prefer to be in a room where there is alot of rares, makes them feal like thier in a good room. I think most new players will see this and think that its not a very good room for getting help.

You are so ignorant. If given an choice, most staff will easily go through the gate/monolith. In the old HxHD (Matt's), I remember seeing superstaff putting a chair on the bench as they were too lazy to go through entrance.

I say keep monolith but you already removed which sucks.

It's a bit late now, They have taken the monolith away.

10-09-2010, 06:53 AM
If I'm truly honest, the staff shouldn't be doing something like that anyway Josh. Now it's even better because they can't due to the mats, and would thoroughly annoy me if I actually saw people using chairs because it just shows laziness.

It needs more of a theme i mean its like modern black and white but it lacks a kick, :jin:'s helpdesk had all the expensive hc furni which made it look really nice and the old xxmattgxx one had the sand deck chairs and icms this just lacks a certain item :/

I have no idea what you're basing that statement off of. Because the room most usually has visitors. Staff activity may have decreased although we're currently in the processes of hiring more staff.

Edit: to elaborate onto this. Usually when one or two people go into the help desk other people follow. For instance when I just went in now it was empty. However after two or three minutes more people started to arrive:

This can also be bad. eg. Staff going in there only when you are to look good.

There are some loyal users who stay in there but most just went for the first round at Lizzie's event; don't flatter yourself. ;)

Guys, do you realise you're arguing over activitiy of a bunch of people not being active in a Habbo room, perhaps they're doing something you should be doing; going out and socialising with friends outside instead of sitting in all day whinging about their activity. :'( Leave it to David and Shar maybe and take the advice I mentioned. ;)
